Study to show yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

My teacher always says that the word of God is not interpreted, it is REVEALED. Which is so true, you ask 5 people to read the same verse and they interpret in their own way with different meanings but God reveals the truth to us through the power of Holy Spirit

Ashley and Taylor I just wanted to say that your videos are such a blessing! I can really hear the Holy Spirit speaking through you girls. I just wanted to thank you guys for inspiring me and encouraging and challenging me to go deeper in my relationship with Jesus! Glory to the Father for this channel!

woooow God is so good! I was praying rn asking God to teach me read the bible in the right way. When I opened my phone, I saw the notification of this video (sorry if I said something wrong hahaha)
  • Thank you very much for the teaching the word of God. As my wife is gone to heaven last year, (RIP), I want you people to pray for me , so I can teach and preach the word of God. So that he give me power to speak and give me words to teach. Plz. Remember me in your daily prayers. So that he use me for his glory name. God bless you all. Amen!!

I love to study the bible. As a born-again believer the Holy Spirit reveals the meaning of scripture; so I don't read books on how to study because the Holy Spirit showed me the way He wanted me to study. God's word is eternal; it's alive for those who walk in the Spirit; for those who seek His face. When I study a verse I look up EVERY word in the concordance; several concordances actually because I want to know God's intended meaning from the translated languages (Hebrew/Greek) into English. (And I do this because I once read a passage that said the people were moved...and I thought it meant their emotions, but when I looked up the word....it meant earthquake.) If the word I am looking up has a root word or words, I look those up as well. If it's a name, I look up all the passages where the name was used and read them; if it's an object (like rock, stone, tent), or an action (like bless, curse, pray) I look up the first and second times it was used, then look up the various different ways it was used. When I get done with that I research how many times God used each word in scripture itself. For Example the name Hiddai in 2 Sam 23:30 which is H1914 in the Strongs Concordance means "for the rejoicing of Jehovah". It was used 1 time. So I go and look up the #1 in both the Hebrew and Greek concordances. All of this I write down....first the verse, then each word and all the definitions/roots, then the number of times used (for each word) and those meanings and definitions, and as I do, I write my own comments with stars or in bubbles separating it from God's word. Once I have all the notes....I read through them, study them, get clarity...and usually, get a revelation from the Holy Spirit. As this new knowledge sinks in, my growth in Christ increases. Looking up Genesis 1:1 using the above process took me a week and I ended up with over 15 pages of notes....from just one verse. When I was done I had a clear understanding of the verse. The only time I use a dictionary is when a word contained in a definition is one that is unclear. This way of studying is detailed and slow, but thorough. The Holy Spirit teaches everyone differently...this is the way He reveals things to me in particular, probably because I like words and everything about their different meanings...and origins. I usually end up doing this type of studying when I come across a verse that my eyes stop on while I'm just reading the bible. When my eyes stop and reread a verse...I know that is the Spirit telling me to pay attention. I get my notebook out, my markers and highlighters, and I'm off! Thank you for sharing your way of studying! Pursuing God's word is exciting!

You people are so smart, your parents are blessed.
  • @BlessedMwangi
Thank you so much for sharing. For a deeper experience of the Bible, always make sure you have a tutor aka Author, The Holy Spirit. Because I feel like He illuminates the words in the Bible so well that they kind of leap out of the book and become so clear for me to understand.
  • I went to a Christian university and in my Old Testament class we had to write a paper that the professor called an exegetical. It was easy and so fun to read a passage that we had studied in class and give the simplified explanation to someone who may have never read that passage before.
  • @edengracemusic_
Love this!!! Only 3 minutes in and I feel like the way I next read my bible will draw me so much closer to the Lord and help me learn so much more about him and his word! Thank you girls!! ❤️
  • @ashleymia_
I just went through these steps in my quiet time and got SO much revelation in one of my favorite passages! This was so clearly taught. Thank you! ❤
  • That's so true we tend to as Christians go to the Bible wanting to get out of the word what we want and not what God wants to teach us. We need to have a humble heart not a selfish heart.
  • Ephesians 4:2: "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." 22. 1 Peter 4:8: "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."
  • Jamaica.... 😉😉😉🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲. Been following you from my little island for years
  • @Thaumazo
And thus, you two have entered the beautiful world of systematic and biblical theology (yes, those are both two disciplines within theology!) Both are crucial in deepening your faith. 😁 Good theology gives us the right mindset to savour God, bad theology gives us the mindset to savour ourselves.
  • So very true, that is the struggle for the churches many are doing that. Taking a message and applying it to today’s world instead of reading it as literal and it applies to God, not us.
