Réécouter cette chanson après avoir lu le livre poétiquement fantasque d’Olivier BOURDEAUT, c’est être « au coin du bon sens » !

Ayant lu le livre "En attendant Bojangles" de Olivier Bourdeaut, il était pour moi impensable de ne pas aller écouter ce chef-d'oeuvre de Nina Simone. Nous pouvons désormais ressentir l'ambiance des fêtes tardives que se livrait ce couple que je qualifierais de loufoque. A la veille de mon bac de français, j'ai décidé de choisir ce roman pour tout les tristes et les bons moments qu'il m'a fait ressentir. En espérant avoir une bonne note.

Je connaissais déjà Nina Simon mais cette pièce n’avait jamais attiré mon attention. Suite à la lecture de ce livre; je comprends et j’adore. Cela ajoute le climat à l’histoire.

Après avoir fini le livre d’Olivier Boudreault, j’ai écouté Mrs Bojandes , j’étais tellement émue

I absolutely love this song! I had a dog who was my best friend for 14 years. Although that may say something about me as a social butterfly, that dog saw something in me that others could not. He recently died from liver cancer and I feel such a loss I can not express. If I live long enough I can easily see myself grieving that dog for 20+ years. He was my buddy! I do drinks a bit now too.

The pain and dignity that is drawn from this man’s life is just so moving - especially for me a black woman... this was my so many men in my family tree... Nina is one of the great storytellers- that voice is gift from God.

Such a beautiful and soulful voice. Her music, her voice touches my soul. The song Mr Bogangles is the best version I've ever heard. Takes my breath away!!
