“Be so good, they can’t ignore you.” That’s real inspiration.

Steve is so quick on his feet. Several of his comments in the interview were quite funny and yet appeared to have come to him spontaneously in the course of the interview (rather than being memorized lines he had used before), including: praising Jerry Seinfeld as the best reader of his book, and noting how he inherited his mother's singing ability and his father's piano playing ability.

47:16 is the part from So Good They Can't Ignore You, where Martin is asked about his advice to aspiring performers

WOW, what an intelligent conversationalist. Martin is extremely elegant and a crystal clear thinker. WOW!!!!

I feel fortunate to live in an Era where great comedians like Steve ( a great man ) Ive been privileged to see first hand. 💎

What an incredibly long, extensive, and successful career Steve Martin has had! And as you listen to this interview and hear how brilliant and thoughtful he is, you realize just why.
-
People need to consciously, pro-actively acknowledge that these gods of our time are still here. Steve is alive. And good lord imagine how much love is gonna come out of the woodwork when he passes. He’s here now people. (Referring to people who aren’t watching Steve Martin stuff and all things 70s80s90searly2000s ye ye represent.

Loved this guy ! Still do , he was great in the movie Bringing down the House
-
What a satisfying time watching this. I think I'll have some pudding. And maybe Steve could talk about surrealism.
-
Wow, "So good that they can't ignore you" brought me here
-
A humble man.
-
Holy crap, thank you
-
This is the best interview of Steve Martin I’ve ever heard. I really miss Charlie Rose. I really dislike cancel culture, but if he did despicable things, then I guess he merited getting booted.
-
He is a lovely man. This was intelligent and insightful.
-
Steve has since this interview done a comedy road trip with Martin Short and the well written and performed Only Murders in the Building, when wondering here where his career may progress.
-
The Jerk is a masterpiece.
-
"Doubt money burns the fingers of the righteous and he won't be burned".

I’ve boycotted his comedy ever since “ cat handcuffs “ I love animals
