In 1963, I was a 10-year-old gearhead living in Southern California. Imagine the fun I had...

It's refreshing watching vehicles with more motor than tire. Thanks.

Shadows were never my favorite, but they kept winning the Can Am revival at Long Beach GP when I was growing up. Over and over.
-
Love the classics. Much better racing and better looking cars.
-
I was fortunate to see the Lolas and McLarens battle it out at Road America when I was in my teens and 20s
-
Can Am , and Trans Am was the coolest racing ever , particularly, to me, Trans Am because you could go and buy the cars you saw racing, well sort of.
-
Lovely, lovely stuff!

100% THE BEST SOUNDING CLASS !!
-
Killing the Can-Am was the death knell for the golden age of American road racing

Sooooo gnarly.

I remember watching the orange McClarens (not sure the model) racing at a local airport track in 1968. The flames coming out of the exhaust when they backed off the throttle at the end of the straight was impressive to say the least. Watching them come down the straight was like watching an F-15 come at you at supersonic speed - no noise at all until they went past. Then BOOM!
-
loved the sound of the BRM. JUST MEAN!
-

I loved seeing these cars run at Mid Ohio in Lexington Ohio back in the 70's and 80's.
