Who’s watching this in 2024 to remind themselves what a real President was like?
-
After that speech I felt like an American, and I’m Australian.
-
Who’s here after chapter 3 of Obama’s “A Promised Land”?
-
In 2004, Barack Obama wasn't introduced to the nation, the nation was introduced to Barack Obama.

"Must've been a good speech"
-
I'm not even an American and this sent chills down my spine
-
"There is not a conservative America, there is not a liberal America, there is the United States of America."
-
To think this during this speech he wasn't even running for president. That crowd sounded like they wanted him to be president then and there.
-
"The hope of a skinny kid with a funny name who believes that America has a place for him too" Incredible public speaker. I miss this man

Its 2023 and I keep coming back here to watch this speech and being inspired. This man is one in a billion. I am not even American and I feel he impacted the world positively.

I'm finishing Michelle's book on my small apartment balconey in Nairobi and it's so hard not to dream....
-
I came here to remember what a real president looks like
-
The Democrats knew they had 8 years in the White House in their pocket after this speech. It was just a matter of how soon he would run. Sometimes I forget that he wasn't even running for President when he made this speech.
-
A real president speaking from his heart and also someone that writes his own speech. We forgot that a US leader MUST have those skills, not like the orange clown we have in office.
-
I listen to this man speak and I hear no divisiveness. I hear no identity politics. I hear a man, a faithful man, a presidential man, speaking to people to dream big. I love it!
-
Whatever your political opinions on him may be, it's hard to deny that Obama is the best orator among politicians in this generation.

One of the speeches I often listen to, as an inspiration. I'm not even American, but a Burmese guy who is trying to make things right in Myanmar. This just gives me chills everytime I watch it. If I'm feeling down, I would even recite this speech to reinvigorate my energy.

This man is going to be remembered as the pinnacle of America’s diversity inclusiveness. The sheer energy and downright honesty that he has is just remarkable.
