Wind and water transported pioneer seeds, insects and animals to the isolated islands. They created the diversity and distribution of life here, with microclimates like the world’s only surviving temperate cloud forests. Animals and plants evolved unique features to survive in these lands. The result is startling encounters with eccentric birds and with majestic whales!

This is possibly the best nature documentary I’ve ever had the pleasure to watch. My compliments to the film crew, writers and director.
  • This documentary was so beautiful! I am from the Canary Islands, from Tenerife and I am so glad to see the representation of our nature and not just our tourism. So beautiful!

Birds are by far the funniest creatures on Earth 😂😂😂 I had no idea they did this stuff until I was 36 and started watching YouTube videos

The father whale carrying his dead baby afloat for days, broke my heart. Parents are so selfless, in their love for children.
  • When you don't have the means to get there, these people have dedicated their lives to provide us with the stunning and beautiful scenes of natures. Cudos

Here is to those exceptional wildlife photographers who had to spend day & night w/ an infinite patience in order to procure these brilliant, indelible, & momentous footages at such foreboding, inhospitable, & inaccessible landscapes in the face of some adverse conditions. It may simply exhibit to discern their single-minded determination & unwavering dedication of the professional commitment for their crafts at the level most of us could only dream of. So I can't help doffing my hat to them. In addition, my heartfelt gratitude to the post-production crews such as editors, a script writer, audio men inclusive of the background music, a narrator, etc. who had all contributed to enhance a wealth of intrigue & excitement. Thanks to them all, we could enjoy, admire, & appreciate this one & only sublime doc. at the comfort of our home. From California,,,,(08/18/23)
