Good call on the auxiliary lights. I also relocated the license plate to the carrier for visibility. If law enforcement has concerns, at least you have made a good effort to comply. Nice setup you have put together. Great little bike.

Just installed one for my 2024 yami yz250…I used the brace that came with it an an additional silent hitch pin 👌 tightens it up

I had one like this, both the bike and the hitch carrier. It isn't the carrier that's the issue. The bounce works on the hitch. After a while my hitch gave and caused all sorts of problems. The weight isn't the issue, it's the bounce.

I'd also run 2 ratchet straps to the rack you got the tent mounted on, pull it in closer to the car and hopefully reduce movement.
