  • This was a great chance to mispronounce all the capitals' names lol. Do you have any ideas for other videos I can make?
  • @Komi83
GK: Czechia has two capitals. Czech people: Excuse me, what the f*ck?
  • @RosovaEva
Brno was OK, you totally ruined Olomouc though 😂 And Czechia has only one capital
  • @MrCruelworld
No hard feelings, but I’m Czech and it’s the first time somebody tells me that we have two capitals. That is incorrect, sir.
  • I've never heard a Czech (I myself am a Czech) say that Brno is the second capital of Czechia so it's kind of weird
  • @balliol9762
South Africa: You gotta pump those numbers up, those are rookie numbers
  • @orijuke
Russia actually has two capitals too, because Constitutional Court is located in Saint Petersburg
  • In Germany some ministries are still in the old capital of West Germany, Bonn. And the highest courts are actually split over several towns. Plus, of course, our states all have their own capitals.

In Slavic languages that use the latin alphabet c is never k, it's pronounced ts.

Czechia doesn't have two capitals, only one Prague, Czechia is divided into 3 three big regions, Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia and every one of them have their own "capital city" Prague, Brno, Ostrava. So officialy czechia has only one capital, Prague, but if you want to count it by the regions, than it has 3. The reason why you mentioning only Prague and Brno is maybe because people from these cities and nearby regions really likes to compete with each other and sometimes there is also a bit of hate in there. A lot of people are stubborn and are living in the past. But they are all czechs with the same Capital Prague, no matter where they live. I never heared of that Czechia has two capitals. Through out the history, capital was changing and the place where the king resided also changed. But now for a long time the only capital is Prague. I don't think that only because Brno has supreme court it makes Brno the second capital. But if I'm wrong and it is official and you can point me on some czechs report on this topic, feel free to correct me.

I am from Prague and I have always enjoyed time spent in Bratislava. Yet, it was odd to be in a capital whose centre was so small. Brno is an important regional centre but it cannot claim to challenge Prague in any way.

I am Sri Lankan 🇱🇰 And you did pronounce the name Sri Jayawardanapura Kotte reasonably well for a foreigner 😁❤️✌🏻️

Ähm ... by your definition Germany has three capitals: Berlin (seat of parliament - the federal diet, seat of most governmental departments - including the chancelor, official first seat of head of state) Bonn (three governmental departments have to be seated there by law, plus the second official seat of the head of state, and the city is even titled "federal city") Karlsruhe (seat of the federal constitutional court)
  • I'm from the Czech republic and Prague is our capital not Brno. Brno is only regional capital of Moravia. (It's like if you said that Edinburgh is also capital of the UK only because it's capital of Scotland.) When we used to be Czechoslovakia, Bratislava was a second capital. (And I hope it will be once a more 🇨🇿❤🇸🇰). Greetings from Moravia.

As you said in the video, you made up your own definition of a capital, usually countries define it themselves which in my opinion has much greater significance ... It seems to me thought that if you expend this definition, then surely you must have missed many more countries with some of the government institutions outside of its official capital ...
  • @mffmart
That "Rio de Janeiro", "São Paulo" and "Brasília" were so distinctively Tuga. At that point, I just stopped the video and went to the About section of the channel; there it was: Portugal. 😂
  • @adamvenhauer
In Czech republic aren't two capitals. Only Prague.
  • @zsoltsandor3814
In Slavic languages written in Latin script unaccented "c" is like "ts" in English.
  • @sobu_hasy
Germany has actually three cities that have Capital functions. Berlin is the city where the Bundestag (the National Parliament of Germany), Presidential Palace, Chancellor's Office and most of the ministeries has its HQ. While other ministeries has its main office in Bonn and the German Supreme Court has its headquarters in Karlsruhe.
