The highway passes through several small towns, communities and localities including a few ' ghost towns '. Along the way we stop at Fernvale, Eskdale, Mitta Mitta, Granite Flat, Lightning Creek, Sunnyside, Glen Wills, Anglers Rest and the Blue Duck Hotel.

Great collation of historic photos, especially the superimposed ones of today/yesteryear. I first went through there in 1956 with my Dad and some German Friends in their brand new Ford Zephyr. We camped on the River at Mitta Mitta with no ground sheets or camping gear. Pretty cold that night. Completed our Alpine circuit over Woods Point, A1 settlement ,Walhalla back home to Morwell.. Magic part of Victorian high country.😁
