STORYLINE:
The FBI is still trying to determine a motive behind Saturday's attempt to assassinate former President Donald Trump, while the tone of this week's Republican convention in Milwaukee likely will be dominated by the violence.

Officials say Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania — about 50 miles (80 kilometers) from the shooting — came to law enforcement attention when spectators at the Trump rally noticed him acting strangely outside the event.

"I've only seen him on the bus and he just kept to himself. No one talked to him. Everybody left him alone. Because if we didn't feel a need to talk to him, if he wasn't going to talk to us," said Liam Campbell, Thomas's Matthew Crooks neighbor.

"The only thing that was odd was that he kept to himself, like he didn't talk to people much, which I found odd because I like to talk to people and I like to make conversation. But not everyone does. He, like, kept to himself," said Campbell.

Police had a report of a suspicious man pacing near the magnetometers and were apparently exchanging photos of the suspect. Witnesses pointed and shouted at an armed man on a nearby roof.

What I learned from this guy. Crooks didn't like talking to people. Got it.
  • @mrsjack2u
It's really not odd if a person stays to himself.
  • Both of his parents were behavioral therapists. Guaranteed they took better care and notice of other people than their own kid.

How about an interview with someone who actually knew him? Cherry picking the facts
  • There is such a thing as introverts. I have always been one. Had only a couple friends i would talk to in school, rarely attended their many events at their homes.Crowds and noise drain me. I am a senior now and no criminal recited. Being quiet and wanting to be alone is not a mental illness. If anything, it's the opposite. It avoids you mixing with people who may get you in trouble and no drama if you aren't involved in groups of people.
  • I hear a lot of "he didn't try to talk to anyone." Did anyone try to talk to him?

🙋🏿 WOW AND HE DID NOT SAY ANYTHING TO HIM, SO WHO ODD MAKE IT MAKE SENSE TO ME.

The only thing odd was his Jeffery Dahmer glasses and his mullet.
  • He was supposedly bullied. That is different than keeping to himself.

So very sad that he didn’t get the help that he needed when he was younger.

You ever feel like you’re being Lied to.?? 🤨
  • Quiet people who choose to distance themselves from others often do so because they have no interest in the silly and meaningless small talk going on around them. It is called 'small talk' for a reason. We quiet folks generally prefer 'smart talk'.

Why don't the interview somebody that actually knows the kid. This one only ever seen him on the bus and I'm sure he didn't bother talking to him...

I dont appreciate how this has been cut about 15 times in 2 minutes, this is crazy, this is how people manipulate and push the media
  • @no.6243
The kids they asked before all said that Crooks and his family were conservative, that didn't turn out to be true.
