  • Gotta love how Donkey Kong in this game is basically every amiibo hunter in the mid-2010's. The power of FOMO is a dangerous tool, indeed.

1:52 it's a Japanese thing. Any kind of worker always has a hard hat on, even the guy just holding the slow down/stop sign when there's road work, even if he's in no danger of anything falling on his head.
  • Fun fact, every time mario got stunned from a fall you would have died in the original
  • Here's a trick I learned when I was younger on how to remember stalactites vs stalagmites. StalaCtites are on the Ceiling, and stalaGmites are on the Ground.

When I went to see The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie back in 2004, we got there so early that the previous screening was just ending. when the people were on their way out from it, I snuck in just to watch the credits, and...something in that theater was magic. This was back in 2004 when credits were still normally just black with white text, so the having yellow text and footage of crashing waves in the background, waves that big on a screen that big, was mesmerizing. SpongeBob & Patrick Confront the Psychic Wall of Energy by the Flaming Lips, Just a Kid by Wilco But then... Hearing The Best Day Ever for the first time floored me for the simple fact that SpongeBob got to sing a credit song for his own movie. Credits were different back then and this was unheard of at the time. And then at the very end, again we take mid and end credit bonus scenes for granted nowadays thanks to Marvel, but in 2004 it wasn't something you could expect, so that end credit scene with the Pirates, being the only one left in the theaters to catch it, I felt like I saw a UFO. And this was all before actually Seeing the movie itself from the start. That's my most core memory watching a movie in theaters.

You gotta play the inspiration for these games that’s on the OG Gameboy, Donkey Kong ‘94. That game is so ahead of its time and had so many mechanics. That game truly deserves a remake.

The voice clips in Mario vs DK are recycled from what I can tell. Since it was on the GBA, so it made sense why Charles Martinet's voice is the same voice
  • Man, Dragonball and especially Dragonball Z was huge in my childhood. Even my mom watched it. I remember her complaining about Cell not fucking dying after what Goku had to do, lol. We even liked GT for the most part. Lost my mom last year and now Toriyama is gone, too. It sucks, man.

the only game I've played in this series is Mini-Land Mayhem, which has completely different gameplay. In that game the minis are doing the levels, but they move automatically and you can only control them by making paths and walls for them. I remember it being pretty fun tbh, it's just a LOT of micromanaging.

  • @GunmanVr.
“Show a little something else” that turned out to be the next Nintendo/illumination Mario movie.

After seeing the shorts that Nintendo put out to promote this game, I now want a real-life Mini-Mario toy.

I remember playing Mario vs Donkey Kong: Minis March Again on my DSi XL and is pretty fun, but frustrating as well, good times.

I think they remade this game most people didn't ask for is because they wanted to "test the waters" Like, seeing if people like this playstyle and want more of these games n' stuff.
  • My earliest memory and introduction of Dragon Ball was when I was 6 at a friend's house in the Frieza Arc, i saw Goku transform into a Super Sayian for the first time on VHS, I remember the first time I saw him do the backpose he was doing before he was looking upwards to the screen menacingly, pissed as all hell. It was the first time I felt chills even. I'm 20 now, and each and every single day I still rewatch through all of Dragon Ball, including DBZA and GT because that's how engulfed I am into the franchise. Truly will miss Toriyama. May God let his soul rest easy.
  • Is it just me or do the wind up gators look like mechanical yoshi heads with teeth

For me, my emotional movie attachment was with Wall-E. Rewatching it when I was older, I realized how amazing a silent movie can be, and it's depiction of love. And to think that back when I was a kid I only liked it purely for the goofy little trash robot.
