May Jesus Christ the Son of God guide all non Christians to Christianity.

Frank this series is amazing. I think it's a mistake to take it off your YouTube page though. Everyone should be able to see this and go back to reference it
  • It is certain now that there is a name "Theophilus" at that time. We are getting closer into putting all the pieces together.

1:24:17 - I agree. I've been saying Churches need to do better in this. I've been to some churches and watched a lot of preaching online, and they may use some verses that they plucked and combined together and try to apply them to our daily lives. But from what I've experienced, they don't really get into the meat of scripture and unpack things. Things that could help answer basic questions believers and non-believers may have. Things that could help solidify their foundational belief in God and Lord Jesus. I've found and have been watching someone on YouTube who teaches and connects scripture like I've never seen from the pulpit. Stuff that will blow your mind.. I wish more churches did that, and perhaps establish a school/university type program in which people and believers can attend to learn these things.

I'd like to see the other previous 20 videos in this series but I can't find them on the channel
  • @Gutslinger
I wish I could watch the previous episodes.. I would've liked to have heard about the Field of Blood.

23:59 - I remember watching a guy talk about those. Very fascinating discovery. I usually remain pretty skeptical, but it's hard to not think that they were likely the very anchors that they had to cut off when Paul was being transported. It's crazy to think that they possibly are.
  • Hmmm interesting internet find just now: Paulus Beniamin Saulos? I honestly always thought Jesus changed his name my whole life....good thing I've become a Christian finally....

Dr. LUKE penned the Book of Acts! Originally a single document combining Luke and Acts yet fully 1/3 of the New Testament Narrative. From Luke's perspective. Created to lead one friend to Christ then to disciple that same friend to maturity in Christ. The friends name: my Most Excellent Theophilus ( The moniker of a Greek Nobleman who's god would have been knowledge) in Luke 1:3 Then ( after salvation ) simply Theophilus in Acts 1:1. So Luke did what Christ described as the greatest love anyone can display in John 15:12-13. Luke; led to Christ by the apostle Paul, had a close friend in Most Excellent Theophilus. Upon becoming a child of God, Luke verbally witnessed to Most Excellent Theophilus about this Christ who had saved him. But, Most Excellent Theophilus wasn't having any of it. Yet, Luke didn't give up on Most Excellent Theophilus. Luke desired that his friend would come to Christ as well and be transformed by Christ's sacrifice on the cross still just a few years before! So, Luke penned the gospel of Luke to lead Most Excellent Theophilus to Christ ref.Luke 1:3. Dr. Luke laid down His medical practice, ( his living ) ( his life ) to lead his friend to Christ! ....Did it work ? Why yes it did! Because in verse 1 of Acts 1 Luke drops the title Most Excellent, and simply calls him Theophilus. Theophilus no longer considers himself a Greek Nobleman whose god is knowledge. He is now been gifted eternal life and the relationship that confirms that as prayed about by Christ Himself in John 17:3. Then Luke pens the entire book of Acts to disciple Theophilus to maturity. Luke went from Dr. To Historian to chronicle to one individual all he could about this Jesus who had graciously saved him from himself and sin. Luke gave up his life's ambition and his living for his friend Most Excellent Theophilus!

Would love to see an episode on Daniel or one of the other books with false authorship claims.

36:22 - I've recently seen people use "Harry Potter" instead of Spiderman.

The difference between the other books and the bible is; the bible is the inspired word of God. And Jesus Christ who is the Father's only begotten son, who suffered, died once for all and is risen is the only way by which mankind can be saved. Why I worship Jesus who is the Son of God. Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. And Jesus said in Mat 7:21 ā€œNot everyone who says to me, ā€˜Lord, Lord,ā€™ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Jesus said in John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. And in John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 1 John 2:3-4 3 And hereby we know that we know Him: if we keep His commandments. 4 He that saith, ā€œI know Him,ā€ and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him. I worship Jesus Christ who is my savior and is the only way by which mankind can be saved and is the Son of God whom the Father testified about and who the Father gave all authority in heaven and on earth too; who also, as the Son of God created the heavens and the earth, out of nothingness, and all that is in them, who suffered for all, died once for all and is risen from the grave. That is the kind of God I worship and am trying to serve. Especially after all He has done for me. And it is written: 2 Peter 1:20-21 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophetā€™s own interpretation of things. 21For no such prophecy was ever brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 2 Peter 3:3 Most importantly, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. Rom 1:18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world Godā€™s invisible qualitiesā€”his eternal power and divine natureā€”have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Rom 1:24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creatorā€”who is forever praised. Amen. 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know Godā€™s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
  • Immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost is required for the remission of sins.

The thing i notice about paul versus james, is who they are writing to and who those people are/were. Paul was not writing to jews around jerusalem, James was. James is talking to a people converting from judaism and they had been under a yoke of bondage and a covenant with God. And lived by mosaic law. Paul is writing to Gentiles. God had turned to the Gentiles. Galatians and collossians both mention how gentiles differ. There's dispensation in scripture realized, for who it is speaking to. real bible believers
