When the CGI is so incredible that you can't tell the difference with the backgroung which is a real forest...
  • With the Mario movie so successful, I’d love to see a dark, eerie Majora’s Mask movie. I know it’ll never happen. But a person can dream
  • After six years, I finally realized that Skull Kid's stumbling and screaming when he puts on the mask is directly inspired by Link's animations when he puts on the transformation masks. And Skull Kid looking up at the camera for one final scream means the transformation is complete, just like with Link's masks. Amazing. Beautiful. Absolutely astounding the amount of details the animation team here added. It's 2023 and I'm still noticing new things
  • What makes this even better is hearing the Happy Mask Sales man talking in a normal voice in the begining, getting more and more anxious, then at the end laughing out of pure insanity as his mind falls into chaos along with all of Termina.

3:57 that blend of the scream leading into the actual skullkid scream is so clean bro
  • This hits a little different when you know he’s really just a poor lonely child that got lost in the forest and turned into a skull kid ... ):

If there is a Zelda game that deserves a movie, it is Majora's Mask
  • @alexs29
Rewatching this after hearing about the latest live-action movie news just hurts....
  • 3:16 This added so much to the short, the fact that it showed the fear in skull kid's eyes, as he was completely defenseless against the mask's control, that part really gives me chills.
  • I bet the people working at Nintendo are like: "Oh shit! We can't take this down. This is way too good. Fans will fucking murder us if we do that."

7 years later and this is still one of the best animations I've ever seen. I wish it could become reality.
  • To be honest, the part that creeped me out the most was when we saw the Skull Kid's true mouth. It just looked... EERIE.
  • Is it just me, or does this animation look strangely better than your average theatre movie?
  • @Arjanator
I love how Skull Kid's voice deepens when he puts on the mask, just like Link when he puts on the transformation masks.
  • Majora’s Mask is ranked to be the 5th most disturbing game title ever created, and this video amplifies the amount of terror that game provides tenfold. Truly a masterpiece of horror.
