Baywatch is an American action drama television series that revolves around the work of a team of lifeguards patrolling the beaches of Los Angeles County, California, and later, Hawaii. The show follows their professional duties, personal challenges, and interpersonal relationships. The ensemble cast includes notable actors such as David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson, Alexandra Paul, Gregory Alan Williams, Jeremy Jackson, and more. The lifeguards deal with dangers related to the beach, crime, and other activities pertinent to the beach lifestyle. Despite initially being canceled after its first season on NBC, the show survived through syndication and became the most-watched television series globally, with a weekly audience of over 1.1 billion viewers. Despite consistent negative critical reviews, it gained a reputation as a pop cultural phenomenon and a frequent source of allusion and parody. The original title and format ran from 1989 to 1999, and from 1999 to 2001, with a setting change and large cast overhaul, it was known as Baywatch: Hawaii. The show even spawned a spin-off series called Baywatch Nights and a 2017 feature film adaptation.

Loved this show when it was on in the UK. My favourite character was Mitch Bucannon played by David Hasselhoff. Its a shame he looks so old now he is 72 in July and i have been a fan of his for 42 years since i first saw him in Knight Rider. I also liked Alexandra Paul as Lt Stephanie Holden,i remember crying when Lt Holden was killed off in a boating accident in a Baywatch episode.

Never watched this series, but I know it was popular. I liked Parker Stevenson in the ‘Hardy Boys.’ I remember Monte Markham from ‘The Second Hundred Years’ and some tv movies. Actually met him when I was in the Navy and he was visiting Subase New London preparing for a ‘Great Ships’ episode on submarines.
