You said it man I honestly am able to look over plot holes and continuity errors if the characters are emotionally engaging. But most characters in a Zack Snyder film are stoic, distant, and consumed in their own self importance. For Snyder it all boils down to: Does it look cool?

Good stuff. I really appreciated the "perfidy" explanation & breakdowns of the fascist conceptualizations + ideas ZS apparently can't recognize in his own work.

I didn't watch the DC stuff but I've seen Henry Cavill act to his bones & he was the right age/look for Superman. What a waste of a great opportunity. & who gets a bad performance out of Amy Adams? The lack of character depth really speaks to ZS being a bad director of actors in particular. I hope no one lets him near a nude scene again without an Intimacy/Sensitivity co-ordinator.

Sucker Punch stinks, but it’s a couple bangers on the soundtrack. Bjork’s Army Of Me being one of aforementioned bangers!

I haven't seen a Zack Snyder film since Watchmen came out, but every time I see a trailer of his every shot just looks like CGI even when I know it's not CGI

good stuff, the only thing i would take issue with is the Clark/Perry relationship, what is shown in the movie is pretty typical Perry is a real ball buster

If you have never watched "The Seven Samurai," you should. Although you could also watch the original "Magnificent Seven" and pick up the gist.

I remember being so excited for sucker punch when it first came out. Halfway through the movie I was like "something is wrong". I finished the whole thing but yeah, I never put it together until years later that Zack Snyder is just incapable of making original works that go deep enough.
