If it's anything like Perplexity, it will be a useful alternative. Perplexity is much better than using traditional Google search imo. Basically what its doing is aggregating all the relevant content for you automatically from what it finds from various sources based on your search query. With traditional search you have to visit each link source separately and find the content you want yourself. Perplexity and SearchGPT will strip out the exact relevant info you want and present it on the screen without even having to visit the source link. Its great for research. And considering SearchGPT is AI based, you can ask your search queries in natural language. Traditional search is basically just querying up keywords. Natural Language Processing knows exactly what you're trying to query and it doesn't have to be formated in any special way since the LLM that runs behind the scenes does all the guess work of trying to anayze your query.

I’m guessing someone at CNBC has shares in Open AI. They seemed so excited about a search function. Keep hyping up that product.
