From Mario 64 to Yooka-Laylee, mascot platformers have been a staple of gaming.

But not every colourful character can become as iconic as Spyro or Crash. Which in Ty the Tasmanian Tigers case... might not be fair.

Because not only does Ty deserve to be placed up there with the greats. He might just be the greatest!

Do you think Ty is BONZA or STRUTH? What's your favourite platformer? Let us know 💚

I love Ty so much, such a great game
  • When it comes to Australian animal platformers, I've always been more of a Kao the Kangaroo guy myself. :P
  • @TinaTissue28
I love Ty mainly because of nostalgia as well but I do find the second game to technically be a better game, but not as a platformer
  • @gehtsiegarnixan
I have never heard of that game, but it reminds me of The Kore Gang: Outvasion from Inner Earth a mascot platformer noone has ever heard of which I really like.

I did try Ty last year, but I preferred the PS1 Spyro The Dragon games. Well, the Reignited Trilogy versions. As for Australia, their government hates video games. Censorship is bad enough, but they've outright banned games like Manhunt from even being released there. Kind of funny if you stop to think about it. Just slap the appropriate age rating on a game and let the us decide if we wanna buy it or not...
