MLB | Forgotten Classics #12 - 2015 World Series Game 1 (NYM vs KC)

I'm sure Mets fans (including myself) want to forget this one, sorry!

Just post the whole series and say its a forgotten classic.

This World Series proved that the smaller makret can compete with the big market squads

My Mets were well on their way to winning this series 4-1 but instead the bullpen and defense died in games 1, 4 and 5 and they ended up losing by the same margin. But for real the Royals were amazing that postseason. Especially coming back vs Houston in the ALDS.

As a KC fan, that Gordon home run is top 3 sports (baseball AND football) moment in our city’s history. Just incredible.

As a Royals fan, this was very much not forgotten for me

This series capped off a wonderful two years I can only pray to experience again. This game showed a lot of what the Royals could do, and I loved every second of it

Gordon’s homerun was a gigantic momentum shift and one of the biggest home runs is WS history for a winner

Harvey throwing the first pitch to Escobar right down the middle could have been the dumbest mistake of the series

My husband and I were at this game. KC fans. Last minute outfield tickets (beneath Fox broadcast booth) that cost us a boatload of $$. Best spent $$ ever. What a night. Cold & damp. Game ended around 1 am. Got home to central KS about 4 am. Still have video of game winning hit on my phone.

Loved this vid as royals fan. Good to see all the boys together again. All of those dudes were apart of my childhood and i think this series is what made me truly love baseball. We always sucked growing up with billy butler, but then this happened. It sucked to see everyone go to different teams besides gordo and salvy.

I'd like to recommend Game 3 of the 2012 NLDS between the Giants and Reds. The Giants are already down 2 - 0 in the series. The Reds could of totally won this game and this series, but the Reds made some mistakes. First, Brandon Phillips made a baserunning mistake in the 1st inning, and the Reds were only able to get one run. Then, in the 10th inning with the game tied 1-1, 2 singles, a wild pitch, and a bobbled ball, led the Giants to another run, giving them the lead. The Giants won the game in 10 innings with only 3 hits. One from Marco Scutaro who broke Homer Bailey's no-hitter in the 6th inning, and the other two hits didn't happen until in the 10th inning. This was a huge win, as the Giants won the next two elimination games to win the NLDS, and went on to win the World Series.
