As the world starts transitioning to sustainable transportation, one other company stands out to me. That company is Rivian. They have a truck R1T and an SUV R1S that are coming to market. I got a chance to check them both out and speak with the Founder/CEO about them. They both have a lot to offer but as the new kid on the block they have some big shoes to fill. As vehicles they had everything from a look/feel perspective!

Both the R1T and R1S are gorgeous vehicles that are NOT concepts. You can tell a lot of thought has gone behind the vehicles as you learn more about the effort that has gone behind them. It will be interesting to see their interface in action and how they can kee up and enhance the software over time. If they can scale a charging infrastructure like the way Tesla has then Tesla has some solid competition. This is one of my top pics from EVs outside of the Tesla universe.

As someone said on another channel. ... "The Patagonia of EVs..." Nothing normal about these trucks even if they are made in Normal, Illinois, but obviously it it's not a Tesla Cybertruck, which of course, isn't for everyone.

First time seeing one of your vids, it was awesome! Excellent camera work, good mix of stock footage and your own, perfect audio, and actually intelligent questions/discussion with the Rivian employees! This was the first I heard about a 300kW peak charge rate and a Rivian-only charging network.

Nice video! I am only posting now even though this video came out a year ago because I only recently started looking up Rivian videos. I have been a Cybertruck reservation holder since it was revealed but a couple weeks ago I lost the battle and had to kiss the Cybertruck goodbye because my wife let it be known that she would never set foot inside one! Now... I have a reservation for an R1S that we are BOTH super excited about!

The Rivian adventure network sounds interesting. Kudos to them for taking the initiative on themselves as I wouldn’t put all my eggs in EA’s basket.

Good interview Raj. Got to see the Rivian truck and SUV at Austin Fully Charged Live event this weekend and was pretty impressed myself. I do have a Tesla CyberTruck deposit down for my business needs however the wife really likes the Rivian! Who knows, maybe two truck EV family? PS, Rivian has just lowered the price of their 300 mile range truck, do not have that number yet.
