Caught these guys at their album release show. They are amazing live and great people to chat with. They weren’t sitting up in a green room eating craft services, they were peddling merch themselves and chatting with everyone and watching the other bands. That says a lot about them.

That show at Sanctuary was incredible! They absolutely killed it that night. Cool you guys got to talk with them, too. Looking forward to seeing them again and hearing these songs, hopefully alongside you guys again!

A little Nazareth pun never hurt anyone.

I agree with a lot that was said here. I wanted to note that United in Chaos quite literally is "A collection of songs" I've watched and read a ton of interviews from David Bruno, he said that they were writing individual stories rather than an overarching narrative at first, but as they progressed he got more and more into the storytelling aspect of it and built an entire world and lined up three albums to tell the story he wants to tell. Supposedly the third album will also feature a full on book filled with the lore Bruno couldn't fit into bite sized songs lol. So in that way, I think Under the Reviled Throne is a more cohesive piece. I agreed with your take on Arrias Groans, its probably my least favorite track on the album and it's not even that bad of a track. Still damn good. I FINALLY got my hands on the lyrics to all the new songs today and it really improved my view of that song. I'm like really into the lore they're telling here throughout these albums, and honestly it really enhances my experience with this band. I'm JUST as excited about what the songs say as what they sound like. God I love this band.

A great mix of melodic death metal influences à-la The Black Dahlia Murder and incredible licks and sweeps à-la Cattle Decapitation, maybe some Trivium and Hath in the mix. I might give this one a chance after all. I wasn't too sure at the beginning, but this is modern death metal done right. :)

STL is among the best from the new crop of death metal touring bands. I'll see them every single time they roll through my area.

This is an absolute banger! death metal, black metal, thrash metal... and that's all in the first two songs!

Now I have “Now you’re messin’ with a summoning Lich” stuck in my head… and I couldn’t be happier. 😊 thanks!!
  • Looking forward to this album boys! Gonna jam it now and then come back with my rating and then see y'all tomorrow morning!🤘

I think the community needs to shake the TBDM trope because TPMD hasn’t even sounded like themselves in 10 years. Besides, where they were famous for ping-ponging between vocal styles, STL teeters on 4 with way less gratuitous solos.
  • These Guys Are So Solid! "United Chaos' Was My Premier Up & Coming Release 2021! They No Lack Surprises On This Release Either! For Dirty Brutality They Are Clean & So Well Put Together🤘😉
  • I still have to check this out. I was going to skip it but you guys turned me on to it. Like turned me on to the music. Not turn me on. You know. Right? 😂
