Keefe taking all the heat while Shanny is writing his "We're 'right there'" speech behind the scenes.

Games 5 and 6 of this series were the first time the leafs played “playoff” hockey in probably 20 years.
  • @shnarfy
People can say what they want but Babcock called out this country club environment a long time ago.
  • This is the way I looked after 13 years of working at Papa Johns.......

"Mitch is an exceptional player and wants to win in Toronto". Translation, "he's not waiving his no-trade clause."
  • @michaelschue22
No matter what you think of the guy, it takes balls to get up and face those questions like he just did. Full respect for him on that. And frankly, the coach is not the root of the Leafs issues.

This day at this time of year has been difficult for ten years. Could had just played a clip from three year's ago, and hear basically the same thing.
  • @Seepitch
Nice job from Keefe - tough to step up like that and take accountability
  • @gabrielness9306
Credit to the leafs for making a great series but never fail to disappoint

If you hear a bell tolling Sheldon, it’s not the Undertaker doing a run in.
  • It is amazing how Toronto has put up with this guy for as long as they have. In Montreal he would have been long gone.

Keefe thought he could do better than Babs. After all this time, I always figured Babs, like him or not, was right about this team.

When asked why they could not score, year after year in the playoffs, he did not have a clue.
  • @VerusNorth
He's in the chair for two years; you can't blame him for 60 years of failure. They were one goal away with Mathews, Nylander and Woll missing games and playing banged up. The armchair GMs need to calm down. Marner will trade if you tell him his ice time (and his next contract) will be based on the needs of the team next year.

Born in 73, isn't it sad that all I ask for is one god dam cup in my lifetime, JUST ONE. I'm afraid it may actually not happen before I die. If I do die before that happens, I only ask that my pallbearer's be Leaf Fans so that I can be let down one last time...
  • @JustinDickins
Keefe would look great behind the Sharks’ bench.
  • @tjgraham4
If he's fired you just know Dubas is waiting for him. Book it!
  • @fareese2441
Man, we do need to move on from Keefe but you gotta feel for the guy.
  • @dsmlive3982
I like Sheldon’s responses. Man of humility to take this role. The most difficult and valuable position in sports. I pray you and your team can reunite and move past this. It’s the NHL. that last goal was a lucky bounce and the goaltender’s right pad was tight on the ice as expected. Only Pasta can life the puck at that exact point! God Bless
  • In previous years, I felt he was out-couched but not this year. The problem is how Dubas set this team up for post season failure by overpaying the core 4 and not leaving enough of the cap to build a real good supporting cast. So I agree that firing him his not the solution. Shanahan's time is up and if someone has to take the blame, it should be him.
