Larry really is a whole mood. Larry is the GOAT. The reveal of Larry as an Elite Four member was something, but him trolling us by using Flying-types instead as we get out our Fighting-types was genius. Not only does he have his job as a salaryman, he also has to work as both a Gym leader and an Elite Four member. He lives up to the title of "Exceptional Everyman". His lines are even better in the Japanese version. He said he uses Komala, a Pokémon that is always asleep, because that is "what all salarymen truly desires".

Oinkologne is meant to be pronounced like cologne. This references the fact male Oinkologne uses its flower-like tail to unleash a concentrated sweet scent to cover its body to attract female Pokémon, while female Oinkologne are surrounded by a floral scent that soothes nearby Pokémon, according to the Pokédex. Both of these have different abilities, Lingering Aroma for the males (exclusive to just male Oinkologne; changes the opponent's ability to Lingering Aroma when hit by a contact move) and Aroma Veil for the females (just like Lechonk and also an ability of Spritzee and Aromatisse; protects it and allies from moves that limit their move choices).

Finally, another human who catches all their mons on regular Pokeballs! (at least for this video) It feels especially good to get your shiny legendaries in them.

Steel sandwich helps riolu hunts because riolus will often spawn with Lucario. That’s how I got mine while looking for a shiny Lucario

I did this same challenge and have a full living dex of pokeball only catches. Now I'm working on the living shiny dex.

I totally agree about the lighting making Pokémon look shiny. I had a terrible time earlier today hunting glaceon since the shade made every freaking glaceon look shiny. It was a complete nightmare but at least I got the shiny.

Definitely feeling the "don't use the master ball on a legendary" vibe! The power of stubbornness prevails! (unless of course it's a roaming legendary like in the gen 2 games, then yeah no, I'm using that damn master ball lol). I've kept ahold of mine for now, and I'm either going to hoard it like I tend to do, or I'll use it on a particularly aesthetic shiny.

I've been doing this challenge since emerald, even some legendaries. It has formed a love hate relationship with the games.

Yes you can, and I always do. I've only ever caught stuff in basic pokeballs because I got ocpd. Which results in me yelling at my screen for everything to just stay in the freaking amzingly low catch rate pokeball for a few days😂

As someone with the tism if I don’t use the same kind of pokeball for every Pokémon I catch I get overwhelmed by which ball I should use, so yes, can confirm. Good to see someone else do it!
