Singapore is considered one of the most advanced regions in the world. What intrigues you the most about this fascinating city?

From 3rd world to 1st world in a single generation. That alone is remarkable.

This is what happens when disciplined, competent & intelligent leaders & citizens lead the country.

As an American, I am continuously shocked at what it actually look like when a country is governed in a way that is dedicated to improving and sustaining a good quality of life for its people. America is the richest country on the planet and it is a shame that we do not even attempt half of these policy’s and projects. Such a beautiful thing to see a country that strive for innovation first, and not profits above all else like the US has.

this happens when politicians care about the people and think of their betterment in long terms than just 4-5 years till next elections.

At least some places are thinking about the longer term than just the next quarter or election.

Got to give Singapore all the credits. It is such a small country with no natural resources, has a short history and within the last fifty years has achieved so much.

i have visited Singapore, and find it clean, the people polite, the city well organized, and a people who are proud of the self-sustainability and country. That city is candy to one's eyes, with great food. Was I impressed? yes

singaporean engineers seem so passionate. it's really nice.

I had the opportunity to go to Singapore back in 2006, and a good deal of the city was still under construction. Looking at this now it's truly astounding how far the city has come; Truly amazing.

I am Brazilian and I had the pleasure of spending 3 months in this incredible country. I went on business and was impressed how the country works so well in so many ways. The combination of the collective disposition of its native people and those who choose Singapore to live in, together with the government tools that strive for the country's general modernity, is what makes Singapore such a wonderful gem. Besides being one of the most amazing places to go sightseeing, it's a magnificent place to think about living forever.

Just got back from Singapore, and yes. This country is on another league in terms of tech and attitude. World class!

They started by changing the way they educate children, from then everything changed.
