Jiri did not look like somebody who trained for an elite striker. You damn well know Alex and his signature left hand, yet jiri leaves his right hand down and even bobs his head forward a few times, in whacking range, as if setting up a t-ball that a child could hit. Sure, Jiri hoped to counter. It's disappointing. What jiri showed was that he had never trained with an elite striker. Jiri's corner trainers haven't the courage to reproah jiri about his "Roy Jones Jr." wanna be style. Alex did great in concealing his left hand prior to letting it go; he didn't throw hayemakers or make it obvious. And that beautiful kick – wasn't even set up, although fast. Alex may be the greatest striker to have come into the ufc.

We fans are not by Poatan's side, living with him day by day to know what his true demeanor is. Truth be told, Jiri has gotten away with a lot of bad technique due to his outstanding physicality. Now that he was facing someone with the same measurements plus superb striking and pattern recognition, he got exposed an payed the ultimate price for it. Jiri has to go back to the drawing board and learn some real hand & feet combative fundamentals.

Alex has to pick a better translator... the guy just says some random things that were not said and the Message is rarely well spread... people who do not speak portuguese will never connect with him 100%. He could be even bigger with a better translator that translates exactly what Alex is saying and not what he thinks Alex should be saying and how.
