Fun fact: The Luigi model in SM64 was discovered exactly 24 years and 01 months after the original game released.

I am so honored... SO, so honored, to have my fan-game listed as one of your most favorites. Super Mario: All-Star Attack started out as truly a love letter to the classic Mario games. But if it wasn't for one guy in particular: Camtendo, none of this would've ever happened. We went from it paying homage to the classic Super Mario Bros. games, to it paying homage to just about every Mario platformer and RPG before the Switch era! It's quite crazy looking back and seeing how much has been accomplished, especially when I wanted to discontinue the project after just about all of the original members left in pursuit of other things. But, I carried on. And now look where we are. THANK YOU SO MUCH, ANTDUDE!! 🌟😁🎆🎈🎊

As the one responsible for Yoshi Gone MFGG, I am so sorry. As the one who made a part of the soundtrack for Psycho Waluigi and Psycutlery, I'm glad you shouted them out, and gave props to Luke's amazing history and the work they do. Thank you for that.

32:31 Vaporeon was actually in smash land as a prototype Orcane for Rivals of Aether, the Vaporeon memes didn't happen until way after, Dan Fornace is one of the designers behind Rivals and was the creator of Smash Land, both characters even have the water puddle teleport

14:47 creator of A Plumber For All Seasons here - I'm super happy to hear it left a good impression! Hope you'll enjoy it when you give it a more thorough play too. :)

The Luigi fireball is supposed to reference the original mario bros game where red fireballs ricochet while green ones go across the screen

54:23 Creator of (Mario) The Music Box here! Spot on with the "not your cup of tea" I don't imagine anyone taking the game seriously since it was a vent project with bits and pieces of symbolism and my life mixed into it.
  • 55:38 so this an interesting case. The original story goes the developer was essentially under an insane amount of mental depression and lock down due to an accident that basically scared them for most of 2011-2016. While it is unclear a chunk of digging suggested something personal, like family related. They developed this game and in turn it's sequel mario the music box arc as a form of therapeutic release as nightmares would be their inspiration. In fact as of this moment arc was discontinued due to... well... they expressed their worries and formed a circle of comfort. So yeah we have essentially mario trapped in a silent hill esc spencer mansions where nightmares are a common occurrence and can very much kill you

  • @GuessWh0seBack
just as a note, the pc port of mario 64 has nothing to do with the leaked source code and was a decompilation project that had been in the works for many years before the gigaleak
  • @Snarf_Dev
