I grew up homeless with my addict parents. Allowing people to live this way does not help them.

Zero mention of a drug problem. Very interesting.

Homelessness is rampant in California because of the temperatures as well, homeless people want to live where it feels good. Some amongst them commit crimes, and California is crime friendly. We do need a permanent solution, but homeless people are attracted to California mainly because its an economic power and the climate is more desirable than others.
  • Why do they say it's "complicated" it really isn't, it's quite easy but that would require them to actually do something about it.

Funny as he’s the one that ordered their encampments
  • This guy doesn’t realize that some of these people are literally telling reporters they are on the street by choice.

The government should create an "Instant Job Program" basically a job for anyone who wants one. You should be paid the same day as you do the work. If someone asks the government for money, then have a job lined up, to pick up trash or plant trees, etc. Pay them the minimum wage at the end of the day.

Someone wants people to think he gives a 💩 because he wants to move to the White House.

We are trying to get rid of the homeless as we allow more homeless across our border

Idk what the best solution is but something has to be done. I live inland of LA and the homeless encampments near me start fires all the time, a woman was recently stabbed to death by a homeless man a few blocks from my home. There are a few that I see regularly that are clearly unwell and need help. Leaving these people on the streets feels inhumane. The encampments arent suitable for living in. Is the shelter system totally non-functional at this point or what?
  • America is not the richest country in the world. Not even close. Respectfully, how can you fix a wealth-related problem when you don’t even understand the facts?
  • @KSand433
I bet if they were camped out outside of your house or business you would demand that they are removed. Nothing wrong with being homeless but homeless people wreak havoc on any space they are in and the criminal activity is mind blowing. They feel like rules do not apply to them.
  • @SethHenry-j5s
Alot of the jobs went online nowadays that needs to change too
  • Sooner or later the American public will have to admit that no one will fix this problem. A country looks like this when it has an elite health system and no safety nets. The richest country in the world? If true, what does that make us? Most uncaring and selfish?
  • moving the homeless around from space to space will not solve the problem. What happened to all the money the state received for homelessness over the last few years? We need solutions. They need mental health care and addiction care not shuffling around.
  • @iamraya
Advocates should take them into their homes.
