In this weeks episode we visit an incredible DIY-built, off-grid tiny home in Wales which has almost entirely been constructed using reclaimed materials. From windows rescued from a skip to beautiful fallen timber found on country walks, each and every item in this incredible tiny home has a story to tell.
Amie and Tom made the decision to build a tiny house, craving a simpler life with a lower impact on the earth. Their off-the-grid home is designed to be light on the land, where they also grow much of their own food.
Completely off the grid, this home generates it’s own solar power, is connected to bore water and has an especially clever grey-water system, inspired by one of our previous videos which can be viewed here: • Simple Permaculture-Based Grey-Water ...
This beautifully built tiny house stands as a strong testament to what amazing things can be constructed using things that other people consider to be waste.
We hope you enjoy the full tour of this amazing tiny house!

We hope you enjoy this weeks episode! This is such a beautiful home and it really goes to show what can be accomplished with reclaimed materials, giving new life to something which would otherwise just be discarded! Such a great build and Aime and Tom should be very proud of what they have accomplished here. How cool is their forest school too?! If only that was around when I was a kid! I also want to take this chance to say a huge thanks to BetterHelp, this episodes sponsor. It’s with the help of our sponsors that we are able to create this content for you all, so please show your support to us and them by clicking the link! With Love, Bryce & Rasa

In some episodes the tiny house looks squeaky clean and sort of lifeless, cold, straight line perfection. This one does look like a home (and a cosy one too). The DIY/reclaimed materials projects have something extra, they look, and I guess feel, lived in from the get go. One of the most charming ones I've seen anywhere, good job!

I love this episode because the couple is very upfront and realistic, they rent the land (compared to others who use their family’s land).
-
Good for them, they went for it and achieved an incredible result. It sounds like they have a lot of wisdom to share from their journey.

Love to see you in our UK!! I wish the tiny community in this country will get stronger so to make the laws possible for more of of us move to this life style too, thanks for coming over !

Bryce, bring more videos of independent living.... this is the future on earth... and the more people are inspired and involved in those type of living situation, we can create a better earth to all.

I'm UK based. Absolutely.... and I mean absolutely, love this tiny. It's chock full of character & homeliness; such a personal space. You must be so proud of your achievement and deservedly so. The Forest School you've set up sounds awesome too. Glad that Bryce & Rasa can travel half way round the world to see it.

I really love how they did so much with recycled items. It's quite inspiring.

Love this home. It’s such a treat to see a UK based tiny home. Big thumbs up to the idea of starting a podcast - anything that raises the profile of more sustainable ways of living is so important. Huge respect also for the comments about “security” or lack of it in the challenging times we live in. Great episode. One of my favorites across the 5 or so years I’ve been following this channel.

Nice to see you over in the UK again, Bryce! Havent been feeling too "present" recently, but having a video showing that a life like this is possible in Britain has really cheered me up! Thanks for your channel and keep up the great work!

I like this house model, it is a typical rural house on stilts but has a luxurious feel and the shape of the house windows, I like the transparent terrace roof with sturdy wooden ribs. The wood color of this house looks original, giving the impression of an original country house. I like the luxurious feel of the house with modern items and objects to support daily activities in the house.

LOVE the trunk handrail! It makes it feel like a treehouse! *furiously writes in my notebook*

Wow these guys are the real deal. Resourceful, self aware, intelligent, and giving. I really hope they can spread their message and way of life. Thanks for sharing

A tiny house with Books! Brilliant inventive build. Best of Luck to the couple!

Love seeing a uk couple able to do this. It's so hard to do this type of living over here. And they're totally winning at it, which is fantastic. Such a lovely vibe coming off them, their attitude is inspiring.

On the Outer Hebredes in 2019 I attended a tractor event. They were giving away the sheep wool insulation. I wondered if people were using it. The drawer/baskets for produce is so clever. A lovely couple. Wishing you two all the very best.

Another young couple that depended pretty much on themselves to accomplish this build. I hope others in their youth take note. Love their kitchen window, that wooden ceiling, the tiles they used, and that bathtub! Why not use reclaimed materials if they are in good shape? Excellent job by them both!

Thanks guys. Will give Better help a go. Life is really hard right now and Im not in a great place. Can do with someone to talk to.. looking forward to the house today. Thanks guys.

Your tiny home is very well made and cozy! I love the wooden railing on your staircase, the cabinetry, warm, welcoming porch, and weathered cedar exterior. Your garden is lovely as well as your shower-doors greenhouse. Well done!
