  • I'll never forget the beautiful sound of Howie Kendrick's home run clanging against the foul pole grate. This is one of the greatest game 7's in MLB History.
  • As a Nationals fan I can confirm that the best day of my life isn't forgotten

In a strange way this still feels like the most recent world series
  • As an Astros fan I can confirm that the worst day of my life isn’t forgotten
  • This game to me is very special. Before everything went back to normal this was the last time baseball seemed normal before the pandemic. I’m pretty sure this was the first time two cy young award winners faced off in a game 7 and this was also the first time the road team won every game as well. Corbin, strasburg, and rendon all fell off after this including the whole nats organization which was kinda sad to see as they had a lot of likeable players

I never really considered this game a “forgotten classic” lol. Howie Kendrick had lots of great moments in the 2019 Postseason but this was his best one
  • The silence of the home crowd after Howie Kendrick's home run beautifully allowed the doink off of the foul pole to resonate loudly. Basically the baseball equivalent of silence so deafening you could hear a pin drop.

It's satisfying seeing a team go all the way on their last chance

Okay but honestly, how “forgotten” is this one really
  • I watched the game with my Guerrero expos jersey one. Was happy that the expos franchise finally won one.
  • it’s been three years since this, i’d hardly call it forgotten yet.
  • I can’t believe people have forgotten about the 2019 World Series. One of the best in my opinion! Howie Kendrick !!
  • This hurts just as much watching it now that it did watching it in real time. But regardless it was fun watching the nationals throughout the playoffs that year
  • That Bases clearing error in the wild card game absolutely shattered my heart because how could they do that to my Brewers! But I was rooting for them the rest of the way because they had to play the Dodgers (gross) and the Cardinals (double gross) and that was a very special team
