This woman who is interviewing them is fucking smart. Incredible, actually. She is asking the exact right questions and doing so effortlessly.

I really like what the violin adds to the sound. I think she is a great fit for the band. Yay! I can't wait to see them in the summer!

The Pixie's are one of those bands that are just TOO fucking good. their songs are some of the finest tunes ever written. Their Albums should be handed out in schools and hospitals.

Cheryl Waters does great interviews.  This one no exception.

Saw them in concert in '92 sounded amazing... saw them again in '19 sounded just as amazing... these guys are the real deal.

Three masterclasses in this video: Cheryl on interviewing, the Pixies on songwriting, and the sound engineer on making it all sound awesome.

The Pixies are my favorite band of all time!!

You know I was not sure what would happen to the Pixies when Kim Deal left… but listening to Paz play the violin on Green and Blues she's adding to their sound. The violin really fits well with Joey's guitar playing and the two sounds compliment each other. Paz is the right person to replace Kim just to add an unknown dimension to the Pixies sound. I thought Kim was awesome in the Pixies but the music is getting interesting again with Paz bringing some new sound in!
  • Brilliant session - The Pixies have been one of my favorite bands for many years, great to see them doing new things in a new direction rather than more of the same.

Thank you KEXP. With the extinction of  our "Local Record Stores", it's not easy to find good music. Inviting great bands to play live is the next best thing.

The addition of Paz is like a rebirth for this band. I really enjoy her violin playing and it brings a new sound and depth to these new songs. Brilliant! I didn’t think it was possible to revive their career. But this is the second chapter after Kim left. She left a big hole in their sound because she had great harmonies with Francis. But now this is the next phase for this group and they sound great! I’m so happy for them! The late great Bowie praised the Pixies in a documentary. He said they were the best American band because of the songs. He even covered one of their songs in concert. That is high praise! And everyone knows the story of Nirvana and that Cobain said he was trying to sound like the Pixies when he wrote Teen Spirit. Long Live the Pixies! 🧚‍♂️🧚🧚‍♀️

It's Lovely and amazing how Charles talks, like theatral, so spontaneous and relaxed, like sculpting sofltly the ideas that he have in his mind for everyone around to show their inside.
