This is a fantastic description of how employers can help reduce healthcare costs! With almost half of all Americans relying on employer-sponsored health plans, employers can offer real benefits for their employees and play an overwhelming role in improving health outcomes while saving on healthcare costs. Health education is going to be critical in "right-sizing" the American healthcare system. Thank you for sharing! Your videos are always very informing!

Hello Dr. Bricker, I'm a first-year medical school student. Beside religiously watching your videos, what are some ways in which I could educate myself in matters like this? I'm intrigued by the clinician's role you described in this video to identify "low grade" specialists and steering the employer toward "high grade specialists". I feel like it's a win-win for everyone(except the ortho doc who went straight for surgery): the employer saves money, patients get better care, and the doctors who follow standard-of-care are rewarded.

@4:20 I love how Dr Bricker already knows that getting the data will have some pushback. 😂 I imagine it’s because the provider knows what you’re doing and doesn’t want you digging too deep
  • This was a very interesting video. I am from the IT industry so I have a basic question; who determines standard-of-care? Doctors or insurance companies?

If everyone went with whole food low plant based 90% nutrition we would reduce health care costs by 70%.

how do you factor in the complexity of patient? I would imagine this encourages healthcare systems to avoid complex patients with challenging comorbdities, the ones that most in need. This would also encourage physicians to avoid complex patients.
  • Is there a way I can do this Dr. Bricker? Former military paramedic and current benefits consultant. If so, where can I learn to judge the quality of the claims, or if there are companies, who would you recommend?

  • Health care cost ain't the problem, people are being ran by the dollar the technology already exists but revenue takes advantage over meat the battle is already happening against humanity. If a few filters were made would generate dollar.
