That Chaos Space Marine laughing at Lion and saying "Bruh, you just old lol" will love rent free in my brain.

Bro there's no way Wes makes this awesome video and then apologizes for not being on camera. I get it man.
  • I love that the Lion still hasn’t fully gotten over the death of Sanguinius. And seeing that he was happy to know that Guilliman was alive despite their differences as the Lion more than anything just doesn’t want to be alone.
  • One bit that you probably just didn't have time for, but really struck me, was that earlier, when learning about how the Codex Astartes broke the legions into chapters, the Lion cursed Guilliman, and wished it would have been Guilliman who died, instead of Sanguinius. So when the Lion learned that Guilliman was alive, and was grateful for it, that was a good moment.
  • 20:30 i just love the fact that when lion notices he's a little weaker. He immediately thinks it's because of some corruption or witch and not old age.
  • GW handled the Lion’s character growth perfectly imo Son of the forest is about second chances and redemption for both him and his sons and it was beautiful !!! Looking forward to whats next with The Lion and his Risen.
  • I wish there was a short story with el'johnson and his chief librarian exploring his old armor collection. It would be called "The chronicles of Calaban: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" 😂
  • Honestly the meeting of Lion and Guilliman is my most anticipated moment for Warhammer. The novels have heavily stressed how lonely each of them are, how desperate they are for emotional comfort that only their brothers can bring. I imagine the two will need some time before they both break down and bond more. Both are very stoic, and them opening up would be such an opportunity for growth.
  • I really love The Lion's interactions with his risen sons weirdly wholesome considering who we're talking about and what universe we are talking about
  • I never would've expected a story set in a grim-dark universe to have such a deep underpinning of hope.
  • “Yes, even Russ” is a great summary for the Lion’s new outlook 😂 Also, amazing work with the video Wes. Thank you!
  • It's really funny that Dante is savvy enough to see Johnson's anger about the long-worn mask as proof that the Lion was who he claimed to be. Maybe he learned something from the chat with the Necrons?
  • The Lion can be in charge of the Dark Imperium, to safe guard it against Chaos as Gulliman can rebuild the rest of the Imperium and see what they can do about the Rift. The Lion is honor bound and Gulliman is a tactician. Both can rebuild the Imperium to what their father had, even with Chaos being a bigger thorn.
  • I can't wait to see G-Man and the Lion reacting to each other, it is going to be a lots of fun, But what do you guys think?
  • I'm really looking forward to seeing The Lion and Guilliman re-united at some point. I bet they both feel like the only relatively sane person in the room most of the time having to deal with the likes of The Ministorum and The Inquisition as well as other Space Marines who only know of The Primarch's in legends and tales of their chapters. It'd be like a Christian getting to meet Jesus! I love seeing stuff like that, especially in 40k!
  • Great job! Side note. Years ago I started a DA successor chapter called the redeemed. The Leadership and chaplains had a vision and saw that not all fallen were evil and if they found a fallen or tainted - he will be welcomed back into the brotherhood. However, this was kept a secret from the DA and other chapters. So they operated on the fringe. So many other players mocked this idea.....but now - I wish I can see their faces now that their Father has forgiven them.
  • Personally I didn’t expect the Lion to have the Emperors Shield and it’s badass power or his teleportation portal but I kinda love it especially with how Anagron got whooped and his head bashed off after being stabbed in the neck or the part where he met Dante sounded amazing from a voice over
  • @Brandypop
I have played the Dark Angels space marines since I was 9 years old and just hearing about the Lion coming back and forgiving his sons sent my inner 40k nerd SCREAMING. This was so cool and such an appropriate character arc. It's going to suck when Chaos gets that weapon, though.
