  • Imagine sitting there listening to this speech, letting the wisdom hit, and not realizing it’s one of the best speech’s you’ll ever hear.
  • I'm 36 now, but I've listened to this consistently for the past five years and I swear it resonates more and more as time progresses.

McConaughey is one of the few actors in Hollywood that is a genuine real person. Its like hes one of us that made it to Hollywood and he never let it change him.

  • I have to say as I sit here listening to Mr. Mathews speech already realizing that I am a broken man. I have struggled with drug addiction most of all my life. I am facing legal issues that can take me from the ones I love. I am 52 years old and should be wise and happy in life. But I am not. This is the best motivational and inspiring speeches I have ever heard.God put this out there for me to hear so I can have hope in my life that even at this age it's not to late for me or anybody else out there who is watching this video. Thank you Mr. McConaughey and Thank you Lord for leading me to this very wise and inspiring words. Much Love and God Bless everyone.
  • Shows why he is so successful...because he is truly living authentically

My Dad was full of wisdom. He said to do all things in moderation. Stay in the middle. As people most of us live in denial. Its a living perpetual lie. A mindset that allows us to do the things we know aren’t beneficial to us. If our hidden facade is exposed we get defensive...,stay close minded. Some folks are NEVER wrong. To be free of this position , take the opposite path. Be open minded. Be wrong and admit you don’t know all the answers. Learn to say we and stop saying I all the time. Let others speak and listen without judgement. Be patient. We know what to do. What is difficult is putting it into practice and consistency. In this world, the cards are stacked against us. Life moves fast. Somebody always seems to need something from you. Your job is so demanding and leaves you tired with no free time. Sound like you? It’s all of us. Never enough money, rising prices, corruption and greed rule the land. As if life isn’t hard enough.,,,Now let’s add a virus, excesses of racism, rich getting richer, poor folks fighting to stay alive while others have more than they could ever spend....LIFE IS TOUGH! Take a deep breath. Now listen to these words very carefully. SIMPLICITY, PATIENCE, COMPASSION. YOU WILL BE OKAY. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. YOU ARE LOVED. ALL THIS DARKNESS WILL PASS.

It haunts me that the old guy is unknowingly sitting and listning in the background 🥺, never forget, pause, enjoy, smile, take a deep breath, and remind yourself of how beautiful life is 😊 always try to atleast say hello or compliment someone a day, you never know how much it actually means.
  • @FoxcHoney
"Do not think of it as my truth, the truth cannot be owned." I like that.💖
  • This has ripped me completely open. I didnt even like him before this. I am utterly astounded.
  • @DKEK4
I never get tired of listening to this. About once a week in the a.m while I am getting ready for work, it just all resonates with me.
  • As a Victim of Violence, I identify myself as a Survivor. It is a journey of healing, each day teaches me something new about myself. When you live with constant death threats, degrading humiliation, intimidation, gas lighting, and under constant tracking and surveillance, it reduces your normal options. You become a survival artist and deeply attached to meditation and prayer. Then you become a Exit Strategist constantly vigilant of dangers. I survived. If anyone is in a relationship that is toxic and dangerous- know that it’s not your fault and you can escape...reach for life!

  • I've listened to this so many times now and it hasn't gotten old yet. It's really helped me in some areas of my life
