The Joss Whedon Cut is like if someone watched the Snyder Cut and kinda summarized it to you while they're drunk
  • It cracks me up when the Humans are hiding the motherbox. Atlanteans: Under the sea, in the lair of a giant squid. Amazon's: In a pyramid with multiple traps and defenders. Humans: "Let's dig a 2 foot hole in the woods."

I just loved that they felt like an actual team, not just a few strangers who met a few days ago. You get to see them working together(before the final fight) and actually have conversations and get to know each other. One of my favorite scenes is just when Arthur and Barry are talking about Cyborg's dad dying. You get to see that Arthur cares alot more than he lets on and him and Barry are getting more acquainted

They did cyborg so dirty in the theatrical release. Hes probably my favorite character in the snyder cut.

The Scandinavians singing while Aquaman leaves is the single most director-cut-y scene in the entire film.

Just a note on the color thing. I'm a diver and Mera's hair not looking red is actually a really clever and accurate choice. The deeper you go underwater, the more the light is blocked by water, and the more the different colors disappear. That's why divers will often carry flashlights in order to be able to see all the natural colors again. Red is in fact the first color to go, so the fact that her hair had a more blue greyish tone is totally accurate. At a significant depth, it will also be so dark that there is very little ambient light penetrating from the surface, hence the darkness of the scene, and a very monotone color scheme. If you actually pay attention to her fight scene with Steppenwolf, every time the light from his axe is close enough to light her up significantly, you do actually see the colors in her armor and hair return. Just thought I'd put that out there. I thought it was an awesome little detail.

9:07 i really liked the part where flash is shown starting to panic and batman tells him to save 1 person and he’ll see what he’s capable of and find his confidence in the original justice league because it really fit to the characters (surprisingly) but the pace was really odd knowing people were dying at the same time. cyborg saving his dad in the snyder cut and then everyone staying alive makes more sense but i would’ve loved being able to see both

16:35 I recently watched the Snyder Cut (all 4 hours at once) without ever watching the original or even knowing much about the original and I FUCKING LOVED the Snyder Cut
  • @Elemtree
The 4:3 aspect ratio really makes you feel like batman.

I laughed really hard at the end when j'onn went "btw i'm martian manhunter" at the very end of their conversation and just leaves and batman goes back to bed

I cried when Barry’s rewind scene happened. Not only cus it was Hollywood’s first actual flash scene and cus I’m so invested in Barry’s story

Unpopular opinion but I loved steppenwolf as a character in the snyder cut. He was ruthless and tough but also vulnerable and sympathetic. He had motivations and his facial expressions were terrific
  • My favourite part was when Batman says. “If we can’t protect the earth you can be damn well sure we’ll Zack Snyder’s justice league it”
  • My favorite way to describe the Whedon cut is that it’s a 2 hour trailer for the Snyder cut. It’s got a handful of those cool moments and a bunch of stuff that makes no sense without the proper context and scenes that aren’t in the final cut.

Aquaman having Cyborg's back and being against sending him in the Motherbox's matrix makes sense once you understand how much Arthur loves his dad.
  • Reason Cyborg barely had a story in the theatrical release was because Joss Whedon didnt get along with Ray Fisher, so now Cyborg's story becomes the heart of the film

“This didn’t feel like it was rated R” Cut to the scene where a lantern’s hand is sliced off and then stabbed to death.

I definitely agree that this was far better than the original. It’s a shame that it’s so long, which probably scares a lot of people off, but it definitely told a superior story.

I genuinely loved the flash time reversal scene
