It's finally here! The Maserati MC20 is the Maserati supercar we've been waiting for. With a light, strong carbon fiber tub, a boosted six making 630 horsepower, and absolutely stunning good looks, the MC20 is poised to take a big chunk out of the $200k-$300k supercar space occupied primarily by the Lamborghini Huracan, McLaren GT, and Audi R8. It looks excellent on paper, and it looks even better in photos. But is it usable? Does it sound good? Will it be worth the $213,000 (plus options) price tag? Zack and Matt get a bit of track time, and hit the streets in the most anticipated supercar of the last two years.

Maserati provided the vehicle, insurance, fuel, and track time at Willow Springs for this review.

Rare that we get a TOTALLY NEW SUPERCAR like this. Clean slate. New body, new engine, everything.
  • 630hp. 3 litres. That's 210hp per litre. Do people understand how unfathomably impressive that is in a modern supercar? Maserati, Ferrari, I don't care who designed it. Well done on that Netuno engine! (The Pista makes 182 hp/l and the Ford GT makes 185hp/l by comparison)

This is a massive and very much needed leap forward for Maserati, this give me hope for their future but what has yet to be proven is build quality and reliability over time. Ferrari improved in this respect greatly over the past 20 years and Maserati needs to catch up
  • This is a really good looking, pretty supercar. Less aggressive and angry than many modern cars, but traditionally beautiful in a way few are. And the fit and finish, driving dynamics and performance alll seem to be here. And judging by Matt and Zach's overall demeanor and voices, the emotion seems to be there too. Reallly impressive. Not like I'm the target demographic here, but if I had the money, this is the first modern Maserati that I'd actually consider over some of the competitors. Really attractive package
  • I literally cannot recall the last time I said "That is a PRETTY car!" Car design has gotten so edgy that they stopped looking good, they just look "interesting" or "cool". Nice to see a true pretty car on the road again.

12:45 This discussion about how you can feel the transmission shift should be a commercial that every Maserati MC20 salesperson shows to their potential customers. It’s quite a distinction from Porsche, the emotion of driving. A great selling point that should not be overlooked.

Absolutely beautiful car, but let's be honest, Maserati has never had problems with styling. For years it's been the only reason to even consider owning one.
  • Looks like a great car to pick up after it's depreciated down to $120k in a couple years.
  • @JordanPayneLV
One of THE most exciting cars to look out for in the used market in 2-3 years. Looks so good, fast as heck.
  • @rousemotorsport
The MC20 in that blue color is amazing. As a Maserati GranTurismo Sport owner, I am glad to see them making other high end cars again.
  • @7designhouse
Best review yet! Our carbon aero is landing soon. Fully aero tested, optimized, and built in the USA.
  • @calebloewen
Zack's face at the first big bump at speed was priceless. Such an awesome looking car! The road looks straight out of NFS Hot Pursuit.
  • @gloriousstereo
Zack's descriptions and similes regarding driving dynamics are on point. Really helps me imagine the differences in feel between these cars I'll never drive. Great video guys.
  • @wetwea33
Gives me modern day xj220 vibes. Also the Android automotive system is hopefully going to be the new industry standard it's awesome.
  • @heinedenmark
Love the design. Simple and beautiful. A good base for future hardcore versions. And what a bonkers engine 👍
  • FINALLY reviews of these things are out. Feels like forever since it was first announced. I wonder if Ferrari gave Maserati the V6, then regretted it and put out the 296.
  • @larssonk22
10:55 did you get a little airborne? lol I instantly feel in love with the looks when it was unveiled. Would be on the list if it weren't for the price!
  • @TriHarderKenp
It’s gorgeous! I’m surprised the entrainment interface is quick and smooth. Maybe the boutique manufacturers can finally have what the big manufacturers have had…? I’ve been rooting for Maserati since I first read about the Cambiocorsa and then the Birdcage reboot years ago. It’s nice to see Maserati do what they do best.
  • @js002003
its the best looking supercar in the world... Would take this over the competition based on looks as long as the its close in driving dynamics, which it sounds like it is.
  • @sadubone
Sounds like an Italian NSX. I'd take one. Also sounds like Ferrari used this as a test for the possibility for a turboed V6, which seems to be the future.
