There’s no excuse for the game to run worse than it’s original PS2 version

I play my switch entirely in handheld mode. I really don't care if its fps is 30.

MGS 2 was running at a solid 60 FPS for the NTSC version like DMC 1/2/3, Virtoua Fighter 4, Soulcalibur 2/3 and many other titles on PS2. Please check ypur infos before spreading nonsense, if you still have a PS2 you can test it by yourself.

I think the content warning has more to do with the MGS3 Raikov disguise scenes, which the characters all seem to imply is gay or bisexual when they tell Snake about Raikov. In fact, when The Boss pulls off Snake’s Raikov mask, she exclaims, “What is this fairy disguise?! It’ll rub off on you and you’ll forget who you really are!” It sounds even stranger out of context, but by all accounts— it’s not like something that needs to be censored for the story. Though, yeah... every time someone grabs an explicit body part may seem strange too— but the point is that in espionage it was more about identifying who was truly a spy... just like how Ocelot did. Lines like, “Taken a fancy to her, Ocelot?!” are just Volgin being a dense idiot because he can’t see past basic desires and lust for greed or power or control. There’s many layers to this, but at the end of the day, it suits the story— and not once does it claim that these are 'acceptable' by any means.

The only people that are complaining about the Switch version being capped at 30 FPS are people who don't even own Switches.

I just want all the content to be on the Nintendo card. But I'm afraid it's going to be partial and download the rest. Sad 😢

Tbh I think it’s just because the switch is really old now which is why it’s capped. Now although there are rumours about a new switch. It’ll still be a long time since a new switch will be officially confirmed. I mean it’s been 3 years now and Hoyoverse is still pushing back the release of Genshin and other games on the switch. Simply because I believe the coding is much harder to work with due to Nintendo being very strict with the consoles formula.

It was smooth back then in my PSVITA but I can't remember the frame rate 😅

Imma just wait for all of the remakes. I LOVE MGS, but can't do the old gameplay and controls.

I believe its because the game is upscaled. On ps2 the resolution is a lot lower..now its 1080 and 720. I would love ro own rhe entire collection. I just want mgs 3 to run smooth.. though MGS1 was my first and i beat it in 99 or so its my fav but not for 20 when i can beat it in under 20 hours unless i counted rhe vr missions
