This teamā€™s piourettes are very nice and they are consistently sticking their dismounts.

Wow, very impressive across the board. The only technical glitch I kept seeing is some of their pirouettes kept landing past the handstand. But thatā€™s nitpicking. All their scores could have been a little higher in my opinion.
  • I loved their kips straight into the full and even a full and a half pirouettes! You donā€™t see that really!

Those scores are so underscored... what are they thinking? I see some beautiful bar work. If the United States had one bar specialist with this much attention to precision, it would be amazing!!
  • I'm glad they had this moment together with the whole team doing so well on the Olympic stage. Who knows what happened to them in the years since then, but no one can this accomplishment away from them. It's so unfortunate that athletics is often politicized. I hate what the NK government is doing but the vast majority of the people are just trapped in the system trying to survive, so I just wish them well as because they are really no different than me, they just got born there not somewhere else.

Canā€™t imagine what their lives are like today.

Those grips are interesting. Admittedly I donā€™t pay much attention to grips, but I feel like there wouldnā€™t be much difference between wearing these grips and not wearing any?

The only thing I care about is whether they went back to North Korea, or if they defected. I hope they are living happy and fulfilling lives now.

The fact that they can't even afford grips and use tape instead... šŸ˜¢ (And side note: that coach might have been standing there but as a coach myself I can tell she was in no way prepared to actually do anything if they were to fall. You can tell from the way a coach is standing, holding themselves or moving whether they're actually ready to spot and she for sure was not. I don't even see the point of her standing there.)
