They switched over to Coke in 1990 (thx@flutebasket4294for that fun fact).
Gotta love Orange SLICE (your camera is probably blocking it) seen in the video. That had such a unique tangy weird zap!
The tie-in toy in this video is for the now forgotten Purr-tenders:

The service back then was definitely better but the customers also didn't act like entitled fools back then either.
-
I find this more fascinating than modern Netflix shows and I don't know why
-
If the manager is at ease and calm, the whole restaurant is calm...
-
Notice how calm everyone is. Nobody's rushing to get food made and no customers are angry because of wait times.
-
I'm so thankful that there's a time traveler working for good instead of evil.

I grew up in the 80s and 1988 was one of my favorite years ever, so this is a treat to watch. I'm not going to be one of those people who act like things were perfect back then and everything sucks now, it had good and bad just like all eras do, but I do enjoy revisiting a time when I was a kid when I didn't concern myself with adult things. Thanks for the upload.

There's no way you can watch this footage and not agree people's behavior have changed.
-
No creepers, no fights, no stained pajama pants, no Bluetooth conversations in line, people actually being somewhat civil? Definitely must be decades ago.........
-
I was still a kid and I can feel the nostalgia from watching this. I hope every single employee is still healthy and living a happy life. Thanks for the upload.

It’s fascinating to know how sanitary changes have occurred… in 198s there were no gloves, handling of frozen meat and bread/cross contamination. Times were a lot different back then.
-
Everything looks so clean and fresh. People working there are quite polite and chilled. So nice.
-
I want to go back to the 70’s and 80’s and do it all over again. We lived in the last best decades.
-
This camera work for a youtube video is worthy of an oscar.
-
Funny how the workers don’t wear any gloves like they do today, but I never got sick eating BK like I do nowadays.
-
People actually could carry on conversations and they loved the service that they received. Managers actually cared. Managers dressed professional and wore ties. It would be nice to see a rebirth of America like this when I’m old. I’m 44.

This is surreal. I used to work at a Burger King in Conyers, GA and the layout, broiler, fryers, equipment, floors, and interior design still looks like this one! Outside of some updated color choices on the walls, This is exactly how my bk looks to this day! This video was like watching people from back in the day work at my restaurant. I knew My BK was old, But now I know it definitely dates back to the '80s 😳

Just the fact that the employees speak in complete sentences instead of grunts and groans or waiting for you to initiate every request.
-
Back when you would get 15 years for hopping the counter and attacking the fry cook...
-
Those young ladies at the beginning of the video are probably in their mid to late 50s now... probably grandmother's. It would be great to interview them today for their perspective.

I love how calm and polite people are. Also the decor and style is so much more pleasing. No one being creepy or stupid. It's like looking into the future.
