'cruelty free' should not only mean cruelty against animals but child labour as well.
  • @emorysbackyard
Moral of the story : Young children are breaking their backs and dying for something we remove the next day.

“I saw a kid’s head split open.” …honestly, I don’t know what to say anymore.. I hope that kid will rest in peace. 🕊
  • I am a girl form India who is far more privileged than these kids.....living in the metropolitan cities gives v little insight about the plight of people in the interiors of my country........this video moved me to tears. I was also ashamed of myself at the same time because I had absolutely no clue on this issue that affects so many of my own countrymen

Instead of promoting the met gala where people spend expensive outfits to wear for just one day, they should gather ideas in how to changes this madness, to use their platform and have people around the world pay attention.
  • The saddest words I've ever heard was, "If I don't mine mica, how will I put food on the table?" I'm going to cry
  • @doonaner
I own a soap company called Elemental Suds, and this video has inspired me to refuse using mica powder in my products. In the soaping industry, it's used to get specific colors in soap. Instead, I've taken a more natural approach. Thank you for spreading awareness of this problem.
  • As a 15 years old from Ranchi, Jharkhand I can say that in some districts of our state including few parts of ranchi, child labour is a big problem. Thank you so much for sharing this problem of our state at an international level.

So a four year old is risking her life so someone can have glitter on their face....
  • @rohan_ray
So a fake smile on someone's face wearing makeup comes upon the cost of these children's real smile :(
  • @potatokiddo
We definitely shouldn’t forget about the fashion industry. That’s terrifying I tell you. As well as cobalt and chocolate.
  • @Tetarkall
My daughter asked me how makeup was made, because she and her mom have been watching Glow Up. Ive started by showing her this video, because I think its important for her to know where the ingredients come from. I am going to show her the rest of the process, which is no where near as bleak, but i hope when she grows up she will be a discerning makeup consumer!

The fact that these kids gets only 5 cents and the makeup industries are selling their products with +40$ This is breaking my heart
  • @Chalize
Same goes with cocoa farmers. Most of them don't even know what Chocolate tastes like. They get low wages as well. The world is so corrupted.
  • This made me cry. The world is a cruel place. My condolences to the families who lost their children to this. 😔
  • i am an indian girl who live in bihar just near jharkhand i am happy and sad at same time by seeing your video, that you are doing that much hard and risky things to aware people about the dark side of the big companies and sad because of this dark side but now we can see the changes. i am really in support of you.
  • @evilqueen09
The crazy thing is, these makeup companies charge so much for makeup, only to send influencers on expensive trips for marketing. They should be using that money to pay more for the mica to prevent or lessen child labor; because they’re not using that money for profit anyway. I appreciate that Estée Lauder helped and they don’t have those influenced trips.
  • @pluto5686
Now this, THIS is the thing that YouTube should be putting on the Trending tab, not expose or apology videos.
  • Thank you for taking out your time to dig deep into all of this. I have no words. I couldn't imagine being in a situation like that and all those deaths and families for a useless, luxury product like makeup and all those things being done hidden... : - I

The sound track that plays during 2:03 is an amazing selection, props to the editors and whoever chose this soundtrack/music for the video. You've got good ear.
