A little about us:
In September 2015, our hearts were hijacked with the dream of living on a large farm, with community, growing food, caring for animals and loving on children in need of care and healing. It was a God moment, where our dreams collided with His dreams… a dream so big we could never do it in our own strength and wisdom. Since then, we have been on a journey to see that dream become a reality. This channel documents that journey.

Great video! I just found your channel after picking a giant head of lettuce covered in thousands of aphids. Thank u for the helpful tip! Now I am subscribed 🎉
  • Stressed out plants attract pests. Add silica to your watering if you're a water only gardener. Or add it to your compost tea or nutrients. Silica strengthens the cell wall and making it more resistant to pests and disease. Diatomaceous earth is silica dioxide and can be absorbed through the tissues of the roots so mixing DE in your soil can supplement your silica also. Happy Gardening growmies✌️
  • I have been using DE for awhile around my house and found a condiment bottle from the dollar store works perfectly as well to apply puffs onto or into tight areas. Thank you so much for sharing!! 🌼
  • Thanks so much for sharing this information! Can’t wait to try it!

Perfect timing to find this great video. I’m infested right now. I have time to take my plants back if I get them now. Thanks for this video guys. Happy gardening everyone

Thanks for reminding me. 2 years ago I bought this container. Have not put it to use... and a succulent I loved became infested earlier this year. I tried neem oil & some sprays to no avail. Had to get rid of the plant. I wish I had tried this. Will definitely start using this method and keeping a close eye.

I’m having an ant/aphid issue in my garden and your video popped up on my main feed page as a recommendation. I had no clue, and i said, wow that girl looks like Leslie…and then realized it was you!!! What are the odds?! Glad you’re doing well ❤️
  • Thank you for also showing the results 2 days after treatment. ❤

I discovered cucumber beetles had eaten almost all my basil and now are on my zucchini! Will be using DE after spraying the critters with vinegar when I saw them. Oh how I despise plant eating bugs! Thanks for this video.
  • You could also add cinnamon to the base of your plants to help with the ant problem as well

I had aphids so bad on my peppers in the spring I had to remove all the damaged leaves and Neem the whole plant daily to save the little budding leaves... Those are the tastiest. I'll have to try DE next time, though I haven't seen the pests return yet.

Great vid! Aphids often come with ants. For ants, I use DE and borax traps. For a borax trap, use a jar/old yogurt container, punch holes large enough for ants, and put in 1 tsp borax and 4 tsp sugar. Mix with water until you get a slurry about the consistency of honey. Check the "trap" now and then to make sure it's still moist (doesn't dry out). It's not really a trap - The ants take the blend back to the nest and feed others in the nest - including (potentially) the queen. Hope this is of use. Cheers!

Aphids took hold of my young okra plants. I had no idea what was causing the leaves to curl and as I weeded a leaf fell and I saw the aphids. I went and got the DE and got to work. I plucked off all the leaves and have been obsessively checking. They were on my tomatoes too.

Lately your videos are speaking to what’s been on my mind and what my garden needs! I’ve read a lot about DE, have aphids and ants galore… I used the borax sugar from your previous email but it hasn’t rid of them all yet. It’s time I try DE. Thank you for this video and for the pump recommendation. I’ve never seen that before 👍🏼

Brilliant, i have aphids in my plum trees, the last couple of years the plums haven't done so well, my neighbour jeeps wanting to chop ot down saying its diseased, i now know its because of the aphids! I do try and crop the leaves with them on and give them a good pressure wash with the hose. I'm definitely trying to this method now Thank you ❤

Wear proper breathing protection when using this product. The very small particles are razor sharp and you do not want them in your lungs.

Hi there, Thank you for your video. What if the cucumber beetles fly off before I can get the DE on them? Does injecting BT into the stems help? I saw a couple of videos on that method. My concern is inhaling the DE.
