"If you did that to a child, you're gonna lose your child. You're gonna go to jail. So why is it okay to do that to an adult?" Damn. Right on point.
  • remember: prison is a place where the punishment is to lose your freedom, not your dignity or basic rights.

Wtf. Imagine having to do sexual favors for a bit of toiletpaper. Not okay...
  • @angelaw6940
Officers still contact them with sexual messages after they are released???? Disgusting😤
  • @wwondertwin
I love these little documentaries that are disguised as talking about beauty but then the beauty part is really just a frame for the bigger issues, like exploitation of female prisoners in this clip.
  • Sick how most women in prison have been sexually abused and have underwent domestic abuse.
  • @d4rkryd
I don’t think women should have to buy feminine products in prison. It’s not a want , it’s a need.
  • @mariahdawn9712
I THINK NO MALE COPS SHOULD WORK AT A FEMALE JAIL PERIOD

“Maybe it’s not a matter of deserving these things, it’s a matter of rehabilitating people and giving them hope and keeping them from repeating the same cycles and coming back.” What a brilliant answer.

This was low key about woman abuse. Not makeup. I like that. Nice video!

"It's a 173 Billion $ "industry". Making it bigger than Target, Uber, & Netflix" Wow... That one statement speaks volumes.

I say that they should only have female guards in women prisons and male guards in male prisons. If the inmates are kept separate so should the guards.

'Maybe it's not about 'deserve', it's about rehabilitation.' She hit the nail on the head. Prison shouldn't be about punishment, it should be about giving a person an opportunity to change or keeping a dangerous person off the streets. So many people have got it twisted.

I LOVE that this video pretended to be about beauty in prison and expose the sexual abuse going on in prisons! Keep it up!

“If there’s anything I’m good at, it would be makeup.” My heart 😭

I really had to decide if I wanted to say this, but it should be said: I myself was at Lowell Correctional in FL back in 2006. Luckily, I was sentenced with most my time already served, and only did 4 months there. I wasn't there long enough to see much of what was mentioned here, but I did see a male officer literally beat up a fellow female inmate - who he already had handcuffed. The whole incident started over her mumbling her DOC number during headcount and he thought it was insubordinate to do so. Once he started screaming at her, she got a little bit of attitude back, but for real, ot wasn't much. He ended up handcuffing her, making threats, and to everyone's horror in our "dorm", he began punching her and shoving her into a concrete wall repeatedly. It was 13 years ago and I'll never forget it. No other officer was in there at the time. Some inmates began screaming for help on behalf of the victim, others pounded on the door and windows. The neighboring dorm officers eventually heard the racket and quickly removed both of them from the dorm. It was terrifying. We all assumed he would be suspended at least, but he was back the next day. She was put in solitary confinement, and I personally didn't see her again before I was released

This is an excellent example of first rate journalism! Very well done
  • @MeteoricMarlin
Guards should wear body cams like cops do. It protects both the inmates and the guards. And if they aren’t doing anything they shouldn’t be then they should have no reason to object.
