R.I.P. #30. You had your flaws but boy were you talented. I was looking forward to watching you mature, but will have to make do with the awesome memories you left us. This night was you at your best.

I just wanted to take the time to write this post and say thank you and why. Thank you to Jose Fernandez and Yordano Ventura for making baseball so exciting and for being such major factors of the youth movement. Both Jose and Yordano had an energy about them that was unmatched. But I don’t get it, why did both pitchers have to be taken from us at such young ages. Both had such promising starts to their careers with the Marlins and Royals respectively. Ventura got to pitch in the World Series with the Kansas City Royals and Fernandez was becoming a dominant pitcher for the Miami Marlins and perhaps the Marlins were building something special. As I previously stated both were part of the youth movement in baseball and I think they both would have fit right in with where the game is right now. In fact, it was Ventura and the Royals who kind of started this bullpen revolution. So again I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to Jose Fernandez and Yordano Ventura for everything they did for the game of baseball. You both are greatly missed. #Jose24 #Yordano30 #Ace30 #RIPJose #RIPYordano

Little did we KC fans know we had 6 more WS games ahead of us within a year. We would go 4-2 in WS games after this win.

RIP Yordano. What a signature performance, and ironically he was paying tribute in honor of a friend. I will really miss this guy so much. Yeah, I know he rubbed some people the wrong way, and even Royals fans the wrong way sometimes, but the guy was so confident in his stuff and exciting to watch. He seemed really passionate about the game. Such a big part of us finally winning a WS in 2015.
