Actual performance (distance) will vary based on air pressure (psi) in the cannon, weight of the bait rig, wind and ambient conditions. This stuff can get dangerous, so, build and use at your own risk! You need to use pressurized PVC and we recommend schedule 80. Be safe and have fun!

Parts and materials:
(1) 36"+ 3" diameter pvc pipe (air chamber; I used schedule 40 for all pvc parts, but would actually recommend you go heavier with schedule 80)
(2) 5' 1.5" diameter pvc pipe (barrel, lower assembly connector pieces and frozen bait molds)
(2) 1.5" diameter 90 degree / right angle / elbow pvc connectors (lower assembly)
(1) 1.5" diameter straight pvc connector (muzzle break)
(1) 1.5" diameter pvc ball valve (trigger mechanism)
(1) 3" to 1.5" diameter pvc step-down connector (connects air chamber to lower assembly)
(1) 3" pvc end cap (air chamber cap)
(1) treated 2"x6"x4' lumber (bait mold holder and brace to stabilize air chamber and barrel)
(2) 4" pvc joint with 2" Y shaped connector (mounts for legs / sand spikes)
(1) 5' 2" diameter pvc (for sand spikes)
(5) 1.5" pvc pipe caps (caps for bait molds)
medium grade PVC primer and PVC cement
galvanized band / strap (to secure air chamber / barrel spacer)
rubber air valve (.453" diameter rim hole / 2" length; I bought mine at Ace hardware)
1/2" drill bit
(2) 2" Phillips head screws
tape measure
pencil
chop saw or hack saw
extension cord
whatever paint / spray paint you want for your own design
bicycle pump or other air pump to fill the air chamber (make sure you have a pressure gauge to measure how much air you're inserting!)
drill

The best part was the camo paint so that the fish don't see the launcher and know something's up. Great video!

This may have been covered by some other commenters, but I feel the need to save my back and arms when it comes time to pump up the air chamber. Dewalt makes an air pump that runs off of 12 VDC, 20 VDC Dewalt battery and it also can be plugged into the home a 120 VAC outlet...users' choice. Location will dictate what method you use. I have been wanting to make one of these for quite a while and this reminded me that I need to get busy.
