For three days all I ate was pumpkin

THE PUMPKIN PROJECT: My neighbors have given me a huge pumpkin for a project I’ve been meaning to do properly for years; go on a three day running and riding adventure while eating a single item of food. As pumpkins are big, they were an obvious choice, especially as I like pumpkins and don’t love them (if things went bad I didn’t want to lose a loved one). Everything is pumpkin centric, from where I go and how I feel, to my choice of clothing. I’d also leave my wallet at home, using only pumpkin seeds as my currency. As something to watch it might well be the worst cooking show ever made, and as an adventure based on losing any kind of intelligence I thought I had, there are many flaws to this experiment. But as I discovered, the dumber I got, the less I cared, which is actually a great place to be. This, my friends, is the pumpkin project.

I love how this channel is a well balanced mix of things I wish I did and things I'd never want to do in my life

Whenever I feel lethargic, complacent, or procrastinating I just pop on some beau to get me back into the right mind frame. This vid didn’t disappoint. I even ate a 5 day old croissant while I watched. Ordinarily it would have been binned but beaus inspired me to just sniff it and take the risk. If I get the shits I’m blaming you beau!

I love how your wife supports you in these adventures

I love how seriously this man takes himself and simultaneously how not serious he takes himself! Aussie icon.

Only Beau could turn a mundane pumpkin into an epic narrated adventure. Don't ever change 👍
  • @pingapete666
11:30 I could just imagine Helens reaction seeing how much seasoning is clumped together and not evenly distributed 😂 That's probably why it was so poten

good job Beau, with this one, and with the first pumpkin film as well. I enjoyed it. you could maybe post the rest of "not great" films you shoot. cheers

This reminds me of a thing I do every year where I gather up people's old decorative pumpkins and cook them into various foods for the whole month of November. Pumpkin soup, pumpkin curry, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cake, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin pierogi, and the list goes on! It's fun, saves money on groceries, and gathering them up can be a real adventure. Pumpkin is amazing!

how does this channel not have 10 million followers! he is a living legend. I am inspired everyday casue of his movies. Since last year I lost over 100 pounds and it was his videos that started the motivation to get my butt moving.

No matter how bizzar sounding the adventure, Beau manages to excell in his storytelling. He is a true YouTube gem.

Such a great story teller. I click on these thumbnails no matter how mundane, only to sit here for the entire video, laughing at the self banter and appreciating the messages whether they're intended or not. Thanks Beau
  • Ironically one of the few things you brought with you that wasn’t pumpkin orange.. is the outside of your pumpkin… Great video Beau

I am not sure that I could enjoy watching you or these videos any more than I do Beau. You are such a pure person and such a true version of someone who has a clear understanding of life. Your amazement and interest in the finest of details makes you such a great person to watch and the stories you show that always showcase the beauty in something. Not focusing on the current distractions, focused on doing what seems to be the best ways to experience the beauty in the universe. You go out on these adventures and see the natural beauty of your neighborhoods, but you also see the beauty in a suffering physical challenge. You understand that it's okay to feel the crap and there's a beauty of the "survival mode. When the focus is completely at the task at hand, you are much more aware of the universe around you. Just so awesome mate, keep being you Beau!

I'm not sure that people really love pumpkin seeds, Beau. I think that people really love you.

such a strong move to spread good things to the community, especially to kids. thank you for investing in humanity
  • @jmt1232
There are only a few channels where no matter what the video is about you know you are going to enjoy it. Like it’s not even about the content, Beau is one of those channels and guy because of the quality of the videos not necessarily the ideas.

Everyone says the wildlife in Australia is deadly, but when I see someone bivvy camp next to their food and kit all willy nilly it makes my American heart tremble. Here that's a recipe for waking up at 2am to fight off a bear who's interested in your pic-a-nic basket 😂
  • @dusti25
The way Helen says have fun 3:25 sounds likes it come straight from her heart. Idk why but I love it actually I do know why but it's way to intricate to explain
