The Pretty Things - Latest Writs: Greatest Hits w/ Phil May - updated and chronological 1964-2020

Published 2021-11-17
A great way to get to know The Pretty Things, the British rock band who influenced Dave Gilmour, Joey Ramone, David Bowie, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix and many others. This is the original 19 track Madfish Latest Writs compilation from 2000 which represented each main album, but I re-organized it chronologically and added 4 songs: one they didn't have the rights to (Alexander) and the others representing 3 albums that came after (Beat Goes On, The Same Sun, To Build a Wall.) A rather quick journey through the many changes of this band, containing many of their best songs, but not dwelling too much on one era. However, this band has a treasure trove of material not on their main albums or singles, check out our videos for more. RIP Phil May, Pete Tolson and Gordon John Edwards.

The video says onscreen that LSD was originally about the British pound? That's the first time I've seen that anywhere. Can finslaw's faves please elaborate on that? I'm sure a lot of us would be interested.
