Man...the government should've offer you full citizenship after all that wonderful work!😅 You did a great service to our islands by doing such a well done and extremely beautiful and detailed piece. From an azorean islander, my deepest gratitude! You're one of us in my books! 🌺

I live in Sao Miguel, Azores, and it means so much to me that people around the world are recognizing the beauty of the Azores. Thank you for making this
  • I’m from the Azores (Terceira) and I must say this is one of the best videos I’ve seen regarding my home. Thank you so much for depicting our islands so accurately, even if still missing a few. In fact very few Azoreans know all of the islands, such as myself. Now I really want to visit Flores. That’s the beauty for me, 9 totally different islands even being so close. And the weather… it’s also very unpredictable in the summer. So just go, and live it the way nature decided to present it to you. Thank you!
  • You're one of the guys who makes YouTube such a beautiful place :)

I live in Santa Maria, one of the islands in Azores. And I have to say that you really captured the essence in this video, it's so amazing... Thank you for letting people know that we (Azores) exist.

My roots are from the Azores. I have always wanted to see where my father and grandparents came from. I now want to go more than ever. My family is from Terceira.
  • Man I’m Form Germany and I have been to the azores just 2 months ago while studying in Lisbon. I have been in almost 50 countries and yet the azores were the most beautiful place I’ve been to. I went in December with a girl I met in Lisbon and had one of the best time of my live so far. The calmness and sheer greeness was so pleasantly overwhelming. It made me realize how important it is to take a break every once in while and rest your soul. I will be back for sure to this yet “unmainstream” paradise on earth. Amazing video and work portraying this place!!

Azores is beautiful, I’ve been there many times as a kid, I’m half Portuguese and Ecuadorian so for my island getting some recognition is nice.

I went to Flores on my own in the off-season (November I believe) to find myself and calm my nerves from being overworked. I was the only one staying at the hotel and it was fantastic. It really felt like I was on a deserted island. I hiked around and just enjoyed being on my own for a full week. Saw water fallls, walked by the cliffs ... ventured in among all the cows roaming freely. One of the best trips I ever did in my life. The weather was shit, but it didn't matter.

This is the best YouTube video on the Azores that I've seen. Excellent camera work; insightful commentary and full of details about the history and culture of the Azores. Very well done.

I had no idea this is even a place. How gorgeous!
  • My mother in law moved to the US because of the volcanic eruption in Faial. My father in law is from Pico and my family is from Terceira. Beautiful islands!! 💖💖💖
  • My great grandfather came to America from the Azores. I had never heard of this place before. This video means a lot to me. I feel a little bit more connected with my roots. Thank you.

I'm from São Miguel Island and I can only thank you for the excellent video you made of "my" archipelago. It made me so proud of where I wake up every day. You know well that you have to come back to complete your video. Santa Maria, Terceira, Graciosa and São Jorge await you. Keep up the good work. You gained one more follower.

"alright kids, pack up and learn Portuguese, we move in a week"
  • @bloggerpillai
You produced a masterpiece. Portugal should just hire you. Stunning place, that you made even more astonishing.
  • My parents were born in Faial, and were living there when the volcano erupted, they remember it well, lots of earthquakes. In 1984 we visited, and I remember walking around the old lighthouse.. with old furniture still in situ. While we were there we also visited Pico and we climbed to the top. We still have family on both islands, as well as the US east coast, and in California; maily Central Valley and Silicon Valley. My father inherited some land after my paternal grandfather passed, and my paternal grandmother moved to the US after an earthquake destroyed their family home (where we stayed when we visited), she passed away in the US. My maternal grandparents had moved to the US before my parents moved here in 1970. Their family home in Salao is still standing, and occupied by a distant relative. Portuguese is my first language, and I started kindergarten with barely any knowledge of English, just basics like alphabet and numbers to "20". My younger sisters were luckier since they both languages being spoken in the house. I've only been on Terceira, Faial, and Pico. I'd love to go visit the othe islands. Obrigado para o video, e bom dia o boa noite!
