I think that this chapter really highlights what Kaido said “You can’t conquer the sea with a strong devil fruit, it takes the strongest Haki” Kidd focused so much on his devil fruit and causing chaos that he failed to train Haki sure he had Haki but I feel like we never saw him use it but Shanks came in and showed us what is what.

Shanks saw an entire episode of life with future sight,jumped over a fleet full of retired veterans under his protection allllll the way from a docked ship to one shot all but 3 members of a full crew in like a second. I’m looking at him losing his arm so differently now. Fam said the only person seeing me with 2 arms is Mihawk and thats a stalemate,what do I need a left hand for 😂😂

One of the biggest differences between Big mom VS Kid and shanks VS kid is that shanks didn’t underestimate kid even a tiny bit, while BM kept trashtalking kid and law about how they can never defeat her.

I like how Shanks didn't even just recklessly run into a fight with Kidd. He did some intel and used future sight to make a calculated attack. Complete opposite to Luffy, but closer to Kidd's friend Killer.

shank doesnt underestimate kidd at all at this point, Kidd possible threat is dangerously bigger even shank need to one shot them and doesnt give a chance for kidd crew to flee... they also destroy kidd ship.

Law, Kidd, Killer, Hawkins, Bonney, and the rest of the worst generation all fell in the new world vs Yonkos and characters who had ADVANCED Haki... That's why I'm glad our boys Luffy and Zoro don't have to worry about that since they have learned and mastered ADVANCED haki to protect themselves 😎

The strength of haki is not limited to the physical body. You can be on your death bed, but if your will is strong enough, you can conquer the seas. That's why shanks was so care free when he lost his arm. It literally doesn't matter. This means if luffys fruit harms his body, his haki will carry him.
