🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  • As an Ethiopian your showing me culture I didn't think we had. Thank you best ever food review
  • The fact that you taste all the food given to you without hesitation shows that you really love what you do not just for content.
  • I respect this man for being open to share meals and spaces with everyone out there. Even eating from their pots and dishes no matter how they look and he literally has no judgement whatsoever. Keep up the good work. ❤❤
  • @lindsaycordova91
I truly love having my eyes opened to new cultures. I was raised in a small town in the US and was truly ignorant to the world around me. These videos are so interesting and educational without feeling overly produced. They always feel very real and like the true essence of the culture is being captured as best as possible on a video.
  • I love the conversations with these people, what a proud and noble folk.
  • @youngwahlee
As a filmmaker, I appreciate the effort Sonny puts in, y'all don't understand how demanding going into the rural lands can be.
  • @Rollingwithkim
As an African I do appreciate your work . Showing africa to the world
  • @_egghead
The ending talk was so good. It shows that happiness is not from the outside, it is from within.
  • @rockstarJDP
This was wonderfully done, you raised such important points on cultural differences, well done Sonny and BEFRS team :)

As an African it's so wonderful to see parts of my continent i may never get a chance to see represented so fairly. I really enjoy this channel.
  • @mybrain1255
That's a real connection with nature. Keep up Sonny. Much love from Kenya. 💯
  • Not just Americans am in Africa but am sure even my great grand parents did not sleep outside and lived under better conditions ..but i still think this is so amazing and they are so healthy they get to even live long no Alzheimer's or old age diseases this is beautiful
  • @jukiefunky
I found this channel accidentally last year and really enjoy watching the episodes. So I decided to watch all episodes and started on Sept 18, 2022 in the first episode. Today, I watched this episode which is the last episode available on the channel. Approximately a year to finish watching all the aired episodes and loving all the episodes and impressed with all the cultures that this show unveiled. My appreciation to BEFRS team for bringing this show is beyond words. Kudos! I wish all the best for the team!
  • @yorkchr123
That was so great. I absolutely love how much effort you put into actually getting to know these people.
  • @jeffsharp2981
I so appreciate your quests into Culinary National Geographic !! Meant in the most respectful way possible. As a 56 yr old, literally the only knowledge I had was from NG. Thank you to your team and the tribes of Africa for allowing us in👍🏻
