  • And criminals have more rights than the paying customers. That's real progressive!
  • @ronaldmcdonald3965
"Let's prosecute or fire anybody who tries to stop shoplifting"
Yeah, that's a good policy (Sarcasm for all you Activists out there)

Nothing like protecting the privacy of shoplifters but blurring their face

And to think, I've been paying for stuff at Old Navy for years like a chump... 😒

They steal the clothes during the day .
And Poop on the sidewalk by Night...face-fuchsia-poop-shape

What a surprise that by effectively decriminalizing theft, you would get more of it. No one could have predicted that would happen.

I struggle to pay for stuff for my kids and all this time I could have just taken it with no consequences 🤦‍♂️

If the cashier tells the customers, it's free. Why bother paying when others don't. Does he get prosecuted?

I no longer live in San Francisco but I'm currently in Seattle where Gap and Banana Republic both shuttered their downtown stores two years ago and then ON shut down this past holiday season.

It was not uncommon for me to walk down Pine Street having to watch shoplifters walk right out of the doors with their loot. Employees are basically limited and can only walk beside them as they "escort" them out. They're not even allowed to put their hands on the merchandise or the arms of the shoplifters.

I hopefully all cities will rebound but this is literally lawlessness and I believe that is what is closing all of these stores in the downtown regions of cities in the US.

WHERE IS THE MAYOR, THE POLICE CHIEF, THE CITY SUPERVISORS AND THE D.A.!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????
MOST IMPORTANTLY, WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE FROM THOSE WHO LIVE AND WORK IN THE CITY!!!!???

Where is the local media asking tough questions to the mayor, the police chief and the city supervisors???????????

Apathy and silence and this is what you get and deserve. But, not those who are trying to fight the implosion of SF.

NO ONE WANTS TO DO BUSINESS IN SAN FRANCISCO, AND SHOULDN'T!

Why can't deadly force be implicated to stop these criminals. 😡😡

I was just at the grocery store for way too long due to a man getting food from the deli, eating half of it, then going up to the self checkout and saying someone else he had on the phone was going to come pay for it. He swore he didn't have any money, yet he was holding an expensive phone and decked out in branded clothes. Theyre so ghetto that its just annoying. Soon the grocery stores will close as well.

Why and Since when we, as a society, allow theft? The thief shows no remorse or shame at all… that’s crazy 😢

"Lower foot traffic", I go every day for work and for fun, walk right past that location--trains are packed, foot traffic is off the hook. The pandemic is over and it shows, everyone is out looking to have fun. I just wish the news would stop blaming it all on low foot traffic, as if its still 2021.
