  • Not okay to put these people on the internet when they're not able to give their consent. They're not for your entertainment.

These residents did not consent to you recording them and putting them on the internet. This isn't funny, this isn't entertainment, it isn't anything but abuse. These residents are in some of the last stages of their life, and the last thing they need to be is mocked and ridiculed on the internet. Disgusting.
  • From a nurses perspective, this is pretty disgusting. SHAME on whoever recorded this and put this out. Everything does not need to be recorded. This is not funny.

As someone who works at a nursing home as a programming assistant, I see several things wrong: 1) Filming residents and posting them online is a HIPPA violation. I don't even know why you have your phone out while working with them in the first place... 2) Whoever was laughing (probably you), should've put the phone down and redirect the resident out of the room. 3) When redirecting an irate patient, never raise your voice. That might agitate them even more. I reccommend a soft gentle voice, and gently guide them away from the situation in a calm manner.

This why I will set up a small home ont my property when my parents can't take care of themselves, and not put them through this ever. These places are under staffed, and many drug elderly who report stuff like this so it never gets reported to silence elderly who have to deal with these crazy barging in and violating others because they are under staffed and poorly trained. So I'd hire care takers and my parents can live in a small home on my property with freedom from this nonsense and I can keep an eye on them.

Whoever took this video should be ashamed of themselves. Wait till you get old
  • That Hispanic resident was so so sweet even though she was being acoste by the other resident. She had such a pleasant voice.

This is a violation of patient privacy laws

These people shouldn't be exposed on the internet. Whoever posted this is wrong.

This is so true every exhausting damn day these patients need so much help. But it’s the reason why we burn out so dam quick. Your always in danger physically and your license is at stake plus the residents won’t listen none.

You must sign an agreement to HIPPA to violate it. You can disagree but this is not a HIPPA violation.🤦🏾‍♀️

I think the person recording was the family member of the lady who stays in that room. And as a CNA, we always gotta keep close eyes on the ones who wonders for this reason lol
  • @sskk297
    Filming residents is wrong!!
  • @eternalA5949
HIPAA violations only apply to health workers and employees. The person recording this would not get in trouble for posting this
  • @joelsytairo6338
You absolutely under no circumstances should be filming this… I mean I guess if you’re a family member or friend this might be acceptable but if you are staff please do not do this
  • @8262cindy
How’s this legal to post patients????
