Sofie gait, serial casting after toe walking

Published 2018-04-01
Sofia has a chronic toe walking problem. She recently was casted for 4 weeks (2 sets of casts for 2 weeks each) to try to stretch the tendon and allow her to walk flat footed.

**Update a year and a half later**
It worked for a while because her muscles we're too week to lift her to her toes from the casting, however she is now back on her toes 98% of the time.

I supposed to have my 4 year old casted next week. He walks very high on his toes. How bad was it on your kid wearing the cast? And is she walking good now. This has kept me up at night. But he needs to be on his heels eventually. Sure hope it works. Just please share some of your story
